***Lauren***
We were in Tony's truck heading to the bonfire; each time, it was held in a different pack; this time, it was at the Red Stone Pack. We have one a month during the school year. As the school puts it, it's supposed to help us mingle with each other and meet ours from different packs. But it mostly turns to how fast you can get drunk, and fights break out all the time cause someone ends up offended at something someone said or hey, how dare you look at my mate or girl for the week,
Tony and I go but usually stick together, and once the first fight breaks out, we leave, not wanting to be a part of it. Also, it keeps Tony from getting in the middle; the one year one of the girls from another pack started in on me about Tony. She thought I was screwing him. How gross that was to hear. I could never explain,
Apparently, she went crying to her brother about my comeback, and he got up in my face; that did not go over too well, not with having a hot head for a cousin. They got into a fistfight, but Tony lost control of his powers and sent a bolt of electricity through him. Our dads had a lot of covering to do, So now, with the first punch being thrown, we leave out,
Pulling up, I see cars everywhere and people walking all around. The flames stretch high into the sky. As an orange glow danced along the ground, Music was blasting through the night air,
"Same plan as always?" Tony asked as he stopped next to me as I slid out of the seat,
"Yeah, Should we make a bet on how long till someone starts swinging?"
He laughed, "No, I'm not doing that again. Last time, you got me for fifty bucks."
"Party pooper." I stick my tongue out at him,
He pinched my nose, making me squeal, "Tony!" I swat at his hand. A figure appeared in front of us,
"Hey, Tony." Stacey stood there, fluttering her lashes at him. I roll my eyes. This girl doesn't take a hint. He has turned her down countless times,
"Stacey," Tony's voice is flat as he sticks his hands in his pockets,
"Im happy you came. How about you sit with us tonight." Taking a step forward, she trails her finger down his chest,
I snort but cover my mouth, turning my head,
"What so funny, Lauren." Her hands are on her hips as she tries to glare at me; I can see all the cake-on makeup on her face as the light from the flames flickers.
"Oh, nothing, just the piss poor attempt at snagging someone's attention that clearly wants nothing to do with you,"
"Here we go." I heard Tony say under his breath,
"Excuse me." She smacks her lips,
"Oh, you're excused," I mimic her standing, popping my hip out as well,
"Tony. was is she always so mean," She whines to him, pouting with her lips out, "Im always nice to her,"
"Oh please," I roll my eyes again,
"Look, Stacey. I have warned you to stop throwing yourself at me. I have also told you im not looking to hook up with anyone. I'm waiting for my mate. Lauren has every right to warn you off, as she is my soon-to-be beta. She outranks you. You should do well to remember that."
Her pouting face falls as her mouth hangs open. I snort a laugh as we step around her,
I look up at him, holding my laughter,
"Dont even," He grumbled,
"But Tony." I raise my voice to sound like her. I bat my eyes as I look up,
He rolls his eyes, "Why me," He pinches the bridge of his nose,
I laugh out, Smacking his arm, "Oh, you like it, and you know it,"
"God no, I wouldn't go there if she were the last female," He did a whole body shiver as he spoke.
We had made our way to the drink area. Looking around, there were kegs lined up with coolers filled with extra drinks,
Tony dug through one cooler, finding sodas,
He tossed me one; twisting the cap off, we made our way over to sit by the fire. Looking around, I saw some new people here. The normal ones were hooting and hollering as they downed drinks and shots. Girls ran around half-dressed as the guys drooled,
"It never changes. How does the school think this is a good way to meet other packs?" I asked Tony as we watched a half-dressed girl run by as a guy chased her,
"Well, they used to attend and watch over it, but over the years, they stepped back," He said as we heard squealing coming from the girl who ran past as the guy threw her over his shoulder. She started to giggle as he carried her off,
I notice four new guys standing off, mainly in the shadows in a lurking kinda way; you could see them, but just barely. Something about them made my skin crawl,
"You know them," I nodded towards them, Tony looked over,
"Hmm, No, I dont think so. They may be some of the new packs. I think Red Stone had a few new members join their pack."
I squinted, I could see they were watching us,
"They seem creepy,"
He nodded his head,
We saw some of our pack members walking around,
"Hey, let's play a game!" Someone called out,
"Spin the bottle," Some girl I didnt know yelled,
I groaned; this was always the same game played. My god, if you want to kiss someone or make out, do it, for god sake,
"Tony, are you going to play?" One girl asked as she passed,
"Gonna pass," He gruffs out,
"Ha, what too worried you would have to kiss your cousin," One boy started making kissy faces,
Tony let out a growl as his eyes flashed yellow. The boy jumped, running off following the ones who were gonna play,
"Hey, let's go see if they still have anything left for smores," I tell Tony,
We got up and moved over to where the table was set up. We found some stuff left, but it was just about clean out,
Making a few, we drank our sodas, "Im going to get us another soda," Tonys said as he stood up, "Wait here,"
"I have to use the bathroom. I'll meet you back here,"
He stops, "I'll go with you, then get the drinks,"
"Tony." I hold my hand up, "Im just going over there." I point and see him thinking it through; his eyes scan the crowd. I know who he's looking for,
"Hes not here," I tell him,
I was half expecting to see him around. He usually dont miss the bonfires, but I have not seen him or his buddies.
"If you are not back here by the time I return?"
I hold my hand up,
"I will be two minutes, And dont forget I can handle myself,"
"Fine," HE grumbles as he turns walking towards the coolers, I hurry over to the gross potties, These things are so gross i cringe every time i use them.
Doing my business, I step out. My eyes move over to see Tony walking back to our spots. He dodged people as he moved through the sea of bodies.
He gives me a nod as his eye finds mine,
I took two steps when an arm went around my waist and a hand over my mouth. My feet leave the ground as he quickly picks me up, my back pressed against him; he moves so fast I lose sight of Tony,
"Anit you a pretty little thing," His mouth close to my ear,
I struggle against his hold,
"I wouldn't do that doll,"
I stop when I feel a bulge pressing into me,
"Good, you got her. Let's go before he realizes she is missing," I see three guys appear before us. It's the one i saw stand back,
I cant help but laugh; it was muffled, seeing as a hand was over my mouth,
"What so funny little girl?" The one asked.
I shake my head, But then a roar ripped through the night.
Kicking my foot back, I hit the guy in the knee. He cried out as his hold loosened. I was able to land an elbow to his gut, and I was able to get free,
"Get her!" One called out,
"You may want ot rethink that move," I tell them
They scoff at my words, but dont get to make a move as Tony comes barreling toward them. As five of our warriors were right behind him,
