9. Megan gets jelly

Megan's POV

I cleared my throat and they both turn to face me. Jason was still holding her waist smiling widely and his eyes sparkled with happiness and the other woman had her hands on his shoulder. She was clearly surprised.

"Sweetie who is she?" The other woman asked. Though she seems kind of older but it can be possible that they are in a relationship.

Just saying.

" Tess this is Megan, she is from my school, am tutoring her in biology for a month and Megan this Tess my aunt". Jason said still smiling his one in a million smile.

My heart was relieved. Phew. Thank goodness.

"Nice to meet you aunt Tess" I said bringing my hand for a handshake.

Instead she hugged me and said " don't call me aunt am still young dear, Tess is okay and welcome to our home, you will be good in no time, my darling here will teach you everything you need to know". She concluded.

Wow just wow. No one has hugged me like that with so much love. Well except Vincent but he is in college now. Somehow I felt relaxed and peaceful being here.

"Thanks". I said.

"No problem cupcake. Em baby is there anything food here cause am utterly famished and i think Megan is too" Tess said turning to Jason and then sitting down tiredly on the couch.

"Of course. I will get it from the kitchen" he said as he walked away.

"Come dear come sit". Tess said pointing to the space in the couch beside her.

I did as was told.

"Tell me about yourself dear". Tess said staring at me.

Somehow I didn't feel scared at all. Just relaxed.

"My name is Megan George and Jason and I have biology class together. I have a brother Vincent, he is in college. My mum died 5 years ago. I stay with my dad. He is a business man and am eighteen may 7th......"

"Dear sorry about your mom. It's really surprising that Jason's birthday is also May 7th. Really adorable" Tess said chuckling.

Oh. Some thing in my heart was vibrating. Happiness.

"So you and Jason are very close" I asked.

Duh am curious. The sweet names are getting to me.

"Yes we are indeed close. We had lived together when we were children . My parents(his grandma) and his parents(my brother and his wife) lived as neighbours and relatives. Until his parents travelled for work and he lived with us".

Just then Jason walk into the living with a tray of pizzas and nachos.

Hmm nice taste.

"Sweetheart did you know Megan's birthday is May 7th the same as yours?" Tess asked as he placed it down on the glass table.

"Oh I didn't" Jason said grinning widely.

"Isn't it sweet" Tess said smiling.

"Yeah I guess" he said " let me go and get the chocolate milk".

"Don't worry let me get it" I said. I was feeling generous.

"It's no problem at all. I will get it" Jason said turning to leave but I outsmarted him and ran ahead.

"It's okay dear let her do it. I like her. She's really sweet" Tess said stopping Jason from insisting.

I followed the way I saw Jason follow and entered the kitchen. It was really modern with the culteries at one side the pots at the other side. Impressive.

I saw the chocolate milk on the kitchen island and took it and headed towards the living room.

"You two will make a good couple" I heard Tess say.

"Shut up Tess". Jason whined.

Thank God they hadn't noticed me because I was blushing.

Me! Megan badass girl blushing.

The boy is changing me.

I cleared my throat and walked towards them and dropped the chocolate milk on the table.

I sat down and turned to look at Jason. Our eyes met and he turned quickly with a tint of red in his cheek.

"So......let eat then". Tess said thankfully avoiding the awkward silence that was about to erupt.

We started eating and Tess would make some jokes. Somehow I couldn't help steal a glance at Jason who will turn away quickly.

We watched TV afterwards because Tess was continuously disturbing us during the lesson.

We all cleared the living room and did the dishes. It was really weird for me to do the dishes because I haven't done that in a long time. My 'dad' has maids to do it. But I enjoyed it.

The love between Tess and Jason was unbelievable. If I didn't know them I would have thought they are a couple.

My relatives didn't care about me and Vincent at all after the incident. They sided with that monster.

No no no I won't let him ruin my rare happy mood.

We finally did some lesson for an hour after forcing Tess to go to sleep.

"This is really boring" I heard Tess say as she entered the living room and disrupt our lesson.

"You weren't sleeping were you?" Jason asked raising his eyebrow.

"Yes I was" she defended.

"Really? Usually when you wake up from sleep your hair is messy and drools are on face". Jason said as a matter-of-factly.

I chuckled at that one.

"Baby you don't need to embarrass me in front of Megan. And I agree I wasn't sleeping but is one hour not enough for the lesson. Come on this is not fun at all". Tess whined like a little child.

"So what do you suggest?" Jason asked.

An idea struck to me.

"Let's go to a party". I suggested.
