Joe
“Joe, they’re waiting for you guys,” Stephanie said, poking her head out of the hallway.
“I’m sorry, Chelsie. I wish I could have explained everything from the beginning. I definitely didn’t want my first few interactions with my mate to be me investigating her.”
“I’m just a bit overwhelmed, Joe. Let’s just get this over with and go from there.”
Joe felt a bit defeated at Chelsie’s response, but he knew he owed her some time to digest everything. He led her back to the conference room where the rest of the clan was already seated. He growled, a bit agitated that everyone had shown up for the questioning. It seemed like more of an interrogation than a friendly chat, and he didn’t want Chelsie put through anymore unnecessary drama.
“I thought this would just be Dru?” Joe
