Joe
Seeing Chelsie at the plant had sent Joe for a loop. He couldn’t help but be elated that he would get a chance to spend more time with her, even if they would be surrounded by other people. The thought that she could possibly be related to his real reason for being at the plant infuriated him. He knew the other guys would insist on digging into her background more. Joe wouldn’t be able to tell them she was his mate or Dru would surely pull him from his cover.
Joe thought about confiding in Terrell since he would oversee the background checks, but Joe decided against it. Terrell wouldn’t say anything, but if push came to shove and Chelsie ended up having anything to do with the drugs, Joe wanted to be able to protect her. He couldn’t risk getting yanked off the case.
