Chelsie
Cecil popped into the kitchen then, breaking up her and Joe’s brainstorming session. The older man was dressed in jeans and polo shirt, which caused both Chelsie and Joe to double take. Chelsie had only been around Cecil for barely two days, but he had been in pajama pants and t-shirts the entire time. He seemed a bit dressed up to her, and by the expression on Joe’s face she wasn’t wrong in her thinking.
“Where are you going?” Joe questioned.
“I’m going to town.”
“To town?”
“Are you deaf, son?” Cecil snapped at him as he continued through the kitchen towards the front door.
“I’m not deaf, just curious is all.”
“Curiosity killed the bear, you know,” Cecil laughed.
“I think it was the cat,” Chelsie interceded.
