ADA “What!” They both say in unison. “Sarah is pregnant. How is that possible? Didn’t she just get back with Adrian a few days ago?” Grandma sounds surprised and furious. “Oh my goddess, Ada.” Juliane gasps. Guess she has put the dots together. “He was cheating on you.” “What! That bastard cheated on you? How could he!” “I’m so sorry, Ada. This must have been so painful for you.” “Oh my poor child.” Grandma pulled me into her arms and I cried, hoping that this will be the last time I will cry for Adrian. “But how did she manage to implant the bomb in the car?” Juliane asks the question that is running in my mind. But there's one possibility. “It's a rented car. There's time and opportunity for her to do it. She knows that's the car grandma wants to rent and she put the bomb and set the timer. With what happened, it shows that she knew that we were trying to leave. She definitely knew our every move. Maybe she even knows that I'm pregnant.” We plan on leaving the car at the airport. That’s our agreement with the rental company. They will come pick the car from there. “It's not possible.” Juliane cuts in. “There's no way she knows. During your stay at the hospital, I was careful. Very careful. No one would have found out. Not even Adrian.” “Or maybe she followed me. I was the only one that was in and out of here. Yes, I was very careful but maybe not careful enough. She must have put dots together and realized that Ada is here because she may be pregnant or sick,” grandma says, making a lot of sense. “Whether pregnant or sick, she believes it will be best to get Ada out of the way. She still sees her as a threat especially since Alpha Adrian hasn't announced the divorce and rejection yet. I believe that she wouldn't have placed the bomb without the help of the owner of the rental company. While you both are gone. I will get to the root of this. I promise. And if she's the one that did this. I will make sure she pays.” “I can't believe that that little brat is this evil. How could she think of killing her own cousin. It's all her parents fault, they didn't raise her well. If she's my granddaughter. I would have taught her a lesson.” Grandma is furious. I don't blame her. I'm angry too. Sarah has gone too far. We made another arrangement. We used Juliane’s car to drive us to the airport. She will come pick it up there later. We don’t want her driving us to the airport or even using a taxi because we want to be careful. It’s the reason grandma rented a car in the first place. Grandma managed to get us fake ID’s which we used in buying the plane ticket and it’s what she also used in renting the car. I don’t know how she did it in such a short period of time and she refused to tell me. I also wonder who this friend who helped us get a place in Newcastle city is. …… It's been two months since leaving Crimson Moon Pack. Life in Newcastle city is good. I wanted to find a job but grandma refused. She said that she won't allow me to work until I give birth. I really tried to convince her that I'm strong enough to work but she has already made up her mind that I won't work. I feel guilty watching grandma be the one to work and provide for us. Yes the alimony is there, but grandma said we won't touch it. It's for the upbringing of my baby once it's born. I withdrew everything and closed my account before we left Newcastle. Here in Newcastle city, I opened another account and deposited the money there as a fixed deposit so by the time I needed it, it would have generated a good interest. We have a new name and a new ID. I go by the name Amara and grandma Barbara. This and buying a house, hiding our scent and many other things cost us a huge amount of money. That's why grandma said we won't touch the remaining money so we won't have any problem once the baby arrives. Grandma is working at a diner as the cook. The job pays her well but I know it's not good enough for both of us so I decide to find a job at a perfume store. I won't be doing much there, just processing transactions. My baby is healthy. We talk with Juliane once or twice a week and everything is going well. And I'm healthy too so we can do this. I will just have to be careful. I didn't tell grandma about the job because I know that she will stop me. I go to work whenever she's out for work. She thinks I will be at home resting but I'm working. I'm not just working only for the money but for distraction too. Staying at home makes my mind wander to where I don't want it to. I'm tempted to ask Juliane if Adrian has made Sarah his Luna yet, but I save myself from an unnecessary heart ache. I don't care what he's doing with his life as long as he won't find me and my baby which won't be possible because we are so far away from him. Juliane doesn't mention him either and I'm glad about that. I know that Adrian has definitely moved on and he’s living the best of his life but it's not the same for me. You can't blame me though. He's the man I've loved all my life, so it will be hard to move on. But I will. I will definitely move on because right now I hate Adrian more than anything in this world.
