Chapter 6 **SOPHIA**

I immediately felt different when I woke up the next morning. Not sickly, but extremely powerful and borderline aggressive? What is wrong with me? I thought to myself, walking into my bathroom. I sat down on the toilet to pee and just so happened to run my tongue over my teeth, sending a sharp pain through my tongue. I tasted blood right away. What the hell! I jumped up from the toilet and ran to the mirror, stumbling back at the sight of my own reflection. “My eyes…” I shrieked. They were already blue before, but now they were nearly glowing! I opened my mouth to reveal two large canine teeth, and my bloody tongue. I looked like a Vampire! I ran back into my bedroom and threw on my pajamas before running downstairs to my mom and dad. They were both already waiting for me in the kitchen. And neither of them looked happy.

Eric’s POV

We finally made it to Sophia’s house, but as soon as I pulled into her driveway i knew something was terribly off. Jacob must have sensed it too because he quickly jumped awake yelling “Back up!!! Back the car now!!” I had already begun to back the car before he could even tell me. My senses immediately went onto high alert and o glanced at Jacob. He was looking back at me with a worried expression. “They are hunters. Werewolf hunters” we both say at the same time, glancing back at their driveway. The entire perimeter of their property was tainted with wolfsbane, we could both smell it strongly. Their property was similar to the Renaldi manor in the sense that it had a very long driveway where you couldn't even see the house from the road. Frustration built up inside me and I punched the steering wheel. Hard. “GOD DAMMIT” i yelled, “What the hell are they doing to her”!! I pulled my phone out of my pocket and dialed James, which he picked up on the first ring. I quickly tell him our situation. “Their names are Derek and Anna Bane” he says after consulting with Katherine. He continues, “They are both very powerful hunters, but we do have the upper hand. They are only human, but they are also most likely prepared and waiting for you to show up, which explains the wolfsbane. They are trying to deter you from her.” I shook my head “But why are they keeping her if they hunt our kind for a living”? I asked, pained. James responds, “Unfortunately i do not know the answer to that. But you are going to have to go through the wolfsbane to be able to get her out of there. It will make you extremely weak, too weak to fight, so you will have to use your stealth to your advantage. Be careful, my Son. I will have another pack spot you to help keep you safe. Call me when you make it out” He hangs up before i can say anything else. I turned my head to look at Jacob and he looks worried. “Did he just say what i think he did”? Jacob asks, his voice almost cracking. This cannot be easy for him. The death of his father, Mark, will still too fresh in his mind. I nodded to him. “You stay here, hop into the drivers seat and protect the car. Be ready to take off as soon as i get back here with her.” I told him, giving him a pat on his shoulder before stepping out of the car. “I promise i will come back” I reassured him before jogging off down the driveway.

I should have prepared better, I thought to myself as I jogged down the driveway, the wolfsbane burning my lungs. I was wearing Converse and a nice form fitting shirt, which i had a strong feeling that both would be ruined before I left this place. This driveway had to be just as long as mine; i felt like i had been running forever before the house finally became within sight. I dropped down to a walk and slipped into the woods, slowly making my way closer to the house. My skin was starting to burn like it had been lit on fire, but i ignored it.
