Olivia was the type of person who would tell you something straight foward, not even sugar coating it. And that what she did to her boss, Mr. Dalton.
Today was her first day working in H.D Enterprise, and she didn't expect much. Her once friend use to work here and she had a run in with Mr. Dalton and it didn't go well. Let's say her friend quit within a month. But that was years ago, and this is now.
Oliva was in the copy room. waiting for the finishing of the other copies when another women, much older to her age walked in and smiled at her. "Hello, deary." Olivia smiled back.
"I'm Olivia." She gave her hand out for the women to shake.
"I heard. I also heard you made quite an impression with Mr. Dalton." Olivia frowned a little. The women had seen something change from Olivia's expression, so she patted Olivia's back. "Nothing bad, sweetheart. It's just a shock to someone so young like you to stand up against Mr.. Dalton." She chuckled a little.
Olivia nodded but still was silent, until the sound of the copy machine beeped letting her know that the copied sheets were done. "Well, I see that you must get going, hope we could talk more." From that moment, Olivia took a liking to the older women. So before walking out she turn back and asked for her name.
"Mrs. Birch. Jolene Birch." With that, Olivia quickly made her way back down the hallway and found herself standing in front of Mr. Dalton's office once again. Without a knock this time, she let herself into the office to see Mr. Dalton with a cup of whiskey in his hand while relaxing on his chair.
"Drinking I see.."
"Still here I see..." he retorted back, but Olivia ignored him and placed the stack of copied sheets on his desk.
"What else can I help you with, Mr. Dalton."
"Harrison." He once said again.
Olivia ignored him like the last time and took a bottle of water out of his min-fridge from the side and handed it him. He gave her look, as he put his glass down and took the bottle from her. "What this?"
"Water." She knew she was being a smart-Alex with him but somehow she enjoyed it for a bit.
"I know, Olivia. But why give me water, you know I have a perfect glass of whiskey with me?" She raised an eyebrow at him.
"You must have forgotten, you have to meet up with Mr. Reed from Techno Industry." She reminded him. "You must haven't forgot have you, or were you to busy indulging in alcohol to notice?" Her sarcasm was thick.
He gave her a pointed look as he stood up made his way toward her and came closer to her. "I don't appreciate the tone, Ms. Welsh." He had stopped using her first name, which meant something.
"And I don't appreciate how close you are, Mr. Dalton. Remember, harassment." With that he took a step away from her and walked back to his chair.
"First day into your job and your already bitchy to your boss." He grumbled. "Kinda like it but hate it also. Beside, please cancel the meetup with Mr. Reed, cause I'm taking the day off." He instructed her as she went up to the phone line and dialed the industry number.
"Hello, this is Olivia Welsh, Mr. Dalton's assistant. I came to inform that the meet-up should be cancelled." After a few minutes talking on the phone she hung-up and gave a look to him. "If I may ask, why cancel the meet-up? Isn't it important?"
He smirked at her, "First, you asked if you could ask me something, but you already said it. Second, it's because the guy a total douche, and I don't want to go. And lastly, I'm going to take you to dinner with me." She stood there shock for a moment.
"Dinner?" Her voice was monotone. He nodded.
"Why not, I don't know you, and isn't it nice to go have dinner with your boss?" He put his arms into his jacket.
'But not with your boss. It's wrong on so many levels." He didn't listened to her as he grabbed her coat and tossed it at her.
"Come on..." He opened the door for her as she walked out with him behind her. She looked around the area hoping no one could see the two of them walk away. Thankfully, no one was the are, and so the two of them left, down to the private lobby area where a limo awaited them.
