I was standing at the shed door holding it open and waiting for Zelda to enter the shed. Zelda was standing several feet away from me, looking at me skeptically.
I knew she didn't trust me. That had become obvious to me ever since our s****l encounter.
"Zelda, the Alpha, wants us to clean up this shed. And the longer we take to get it done, the more pissed off the Alpha is going to be with us. And now we are a man down, so it is going to take us longer," I told her.
"Was Liam supposed to help us?" she asked, surprised.
"Yes. He was," I admitted.
"So why isn't he here then? Why did he leave?" she asked, looking confused by the whole situation.
