The meet up

I saw Dianne and Jam when I pass by Jam’s house. Hey Lyn! Dianne called me. “Can you go with us tonight? John asked us to convince you to go with us tonight. He is really so excited to see you.” I still cannot decide Dianne. I answer. You know that I am just from break up 5 months ago with my first boyfriend and I still cannot move on from that heartbreak. I told them. “You know what I think it’s about time for you to move on and be happy. Please go with us. You know what our friend Jenny started seeing one of their friends too. I hope you can go with us tonight cousin. John must be so happy “Jam said”. Let me think about it first. I need to go now Papa is waiting for me. I said. Bye both of you! “Bye Lyn!” They said.

I reached home and prepare to cook dinner. After we ate dinner I set my siblings to prepare to go to bed. It is 7 in the evening and I am currently in my room. My Nokia phone vibrated. I check my phone and it shows that John sent me a message. This is what he texted me “Lyn did you eat dinner already? “I am praying that one of these days I will be able to meet you and talk to you in person. I really cannot wait for that day to happen.” He said. I’m really confused because I feel pity to him. I pray to God if he wanted me to meet him tonight. Everytime I make a decision I always make sure that I include him. After a few minutes I decided to meet him. I ask Papa if I can hang out with friends tonight because it is Friday and there’s no School tomorrow because it’s Saturday. Papa nodded and told me that I need to be home at 10. So I go back to my room and change right away.

I left home and started to walk to the said location. I really felt butterfly in my stomach and my heart is started pounding because of too much nervous. Seems like I am scheduled for a death penalty today. I saw Jenny one of my friend. “Hey Lyn! Where are you going? You look beautiful tonight!” Jenny said. Oh Thank you Jen! You are really my friend hahhahahha. We both laughing. I am going to meet John tonight but I am a bit nervous. “Oh that’s nice to hear. He must be so happy that at last you decided to meet him. You can go with me I am also going there to see my boyfriend.”She said and smiling at me. I can see that her eyes is full of love. Wow that’s nice! so that I cannot go there alone. You know it’s so awkward if you first meet a person. I said. We take a ride going to their hang out place. They are staying there almost every night to drink. John has no idea that I am going to meet him tonight because I did not inform him.

Jam’s POV

We sit beside our partners. Dianne sit beside Marco, Me and my boyfriend Clark. Justine next to Clark waiting for Jenny. John and Rey. John looking at his phone while sipping beer. He is so lonely so I ask him. “Hey John are you okay? “Yes I am. I am just thinking if Lyn really have plans to meet me after a few days or months.” He said. I just smiled at him because he really wanted to see Lyn but I don’t know what’s her plan. Suddenly my phone beep. I got a message from Jenny saying “ Jam I’m on my way now. And guess whose with me? I replied “Who?” Jenny replied “It’s your cousin Lyn. He will meet John tonight! John must be so happy.

I screamed and they are all looking at me. Why are shouting you look crazy? Dianne said. I smiled in reply. John! Lyn is with Jenny and they are almost here! I giggled. “Are you sure Jam?” John ask. Yes, I am! Jenny just texted me and they are already on their way here. I can see that he looks happy now. Everybody is now teasing John. “Lonely no more John! Clark said. We are all happy and waiting for the two girls to arrive.

I saw Jenny texted Jam that I am with here. You are crazy! Why you inform Jam that I am with you? I am palpitating now. Jesus! I feel like I wanted to go home. I told Jenny. “No please, don’t turn John down. He is so happy that you both will meet tonight.”Jenny said. Jenny ask the driver to stop at the corner. My body is shaking when I get off from the tricyle. I saw a group of people few steps from where we are. Jenny and me are walking now to their location. There, I saw my cousin Jam, Dianne and boys. We are standing in front of them now. I am just observing them. Honestky, they are so intimidating. My eyes roam around to see which of them is John. I saw my cousin Jam and she runs near me and hug me tight. “At last you were able to come!” She said. Dianne also hug me. As I roam my eyes around to check on which of them is John. I saw one of them smirk. And he said “If you are looking for John he is not here. His father called him and he will be back as soon as possible.” He said. I breath in relieve. I thought he is here. I am holding my breath for too long because I am so nervous. I just don’t understand why I felt like this.

Jam introduce me to them. Hi I am Marco Dianne’s boyfriend. Hi I am Clark! Jam’s boyfriend. Hi I am Justine! Jenny’s boyfriend. Hi I am Rey! Rey don’t have a partner so John is not alone. The one who smirked earlier is Clark. So he is Jam’s boyfriend. Well, I can tell that Jam is really have a taste however this man seems like a silent type but dangerous. It’s nice to meet you all. I said and smiled! Seems like I change my mind when I see the boys. With just a first look you can determine that they are from a rich family. I don’t think tha I am belong here. Seems like I change my mind. So I called Jam and told her. I wanted to go home. Seems like I cannot hang out with them and I really got nervous to meet John. I told her. “You are crazy! You are already here and now you wanted to back out?” Jam said. Yes I am serious I wanted to back out. So I walk fast to reach the highway to get a ride back home. Just a few steps I heard Dianne scream. John is here! My heart beats fast that seems like I cannot breath. I run a bit faster but Jam is chasing me. This lady makes my life harder now. She hold me tight in my arm and I heard Clark shouted. “Hurry up Bro she change her mind and wanted to go home.” You may miss the chance of meeting her” He said.

Jam hold me tight that I can no longer run. I asked her to let go of me but she did not. My body is shaking now that anytime I will faint. At the same time I realize that our position now is so funny so I ask Jam just let go of my arm because I will no longer run. Jam let go of me we look so funny on this position. Jam is laughing like crazy and let go of me. I already feel that he is approaching to where me and Jam standing. I heard a steps coming near me now. He is breathing fast so I turn my head down because I know that this man is John. He is currently in front of me because I can see his feet now but I cannot look at him so he sit and look at my face. He wave his hand to say hi that makes me even more nervous. I really don’t have a choice right now. What I can do is to compose myself and act matured in front of them. Anyway this is my choice why I am currently on this situation. So I look up so that John can stand up and see my face clearly. I smiled at him and tell him my name. He stand up in front of me and said that he is John and offered his hand to me so I accept it. I am really shy right now because I did not use to this kind of scenario. My face is so red right now. When I look at him our eyes meet and I really don’t understand what I feel right now. Oh boy! He is so handsome. Those round eyes, pointed nose and a thick brows. My world is stops that I cannot even say a single word. John is smiling at me that make me feel more awkward. “It is worth the wait Lyn! It’s nice to finally meet you in person.” John said. I felt so shocked when he hugs me. Oh what is this? He even put me in shame. I can hear that they are all laughing now. Justine said “Not that fast Bro you scared Lyn!
