John ask his friend and my friends that he wanted to talk to me privately since this is the first time we meet. He invited me to sit on the grass. Can I visit you at your home? John asked. Oh no! My Papa is so strict he don’t want me to have a visitor especially when it is a guy. I said “Well my intention is clean I think I can talk to your Papa.” He said. Please John you don’t know Papa he don’t want me to accept a visitor. I told him right away. It is really not a good idea for him to visit me at home. He asked about my family so I told him that I am the eldest and I am from the poor family. We lived a simple life. I also asked him about his family. He said that Mom is currently in the US and he is the only child. He is living with his Dad and his Grandma and other cousins are living with them. I told him “are you sure your girlfriend won’t mad if she sees us? Seems like his eyes become sad. He said “ I don’t have a girlfriend” How about you? I breath and said. We broke up few months ago. I still feel the pain I experienced when we broke up. John is looking at me because at me now and there’s a moment of silence. Suddenly my phone beep. I check on it and see that Kiven sent me a message. Kiven is my ex boyfriend’s brother. “Hey Lyn! It’s been a long time that we did not see you. I hope you and my brother will still fix it.” He is really trying to fix our relationship but I already decided. I put my phone back in my pocket. John look at me and asked “ Is everything okay? He asked and I just nodded. It is almost 9 and I need to go home by 10. I told John that I need to be home at 10. John said “ Can you ask your Papa to extend it till 11? I don’t want you to go home yet.” He said. John Papa trust me that I will be home by 10. I need to keep my promised. “I understand.Can we meet again tomorrow night?” John asked. I will try if Papa will let me. “Alright then! He said. While waiting for the time we make sure that we enjoyed our time together. We talk a lot of things and laugh. I am so comfortable with John already. Sometimes I saw him looking at me but I just ignored it. Maybe he is observing what characteristics I have. My phone is ringing and I answered the call. It is Kiven on the other line. Hey Kiven! Why are you calling? “I just called to check on you.” He said. I am fine Kiven. “Lyn do you have time tomorrow? Friends will hang out at the Park you may want to join us if you have time? “He said”. I will try Kiven. I already missed you all guys! We missed you too Lyn especially the one beside me.”He said. I know already who is he referring to. I need to hang up now Kiven. I will let you know tomorrow if I can. Bye! Goodbye Lyn! I ended the call and saw John looking at me. “Who is calling you? He asked. It is Kiven my ex’s brother. He looks amazed. “Wow! Your ex’s brother called you? Seems like he cares about you a lot.” He said. Seems like his wondering why my ex’s brother cares about me. Yes John! We are friends. I told him so that he will no longer ask why we are closed to each other. “Alright!” John said.

“Lyn before you go home I wanted to let you know that I have special feelings on you. I know it is too early to court you since we just met. Will you let me court you?” He said. I am so surprised when he said that. It is the first time we meet but we’ve been talking thru phone already for a month. I am so happy on what I heard from John. I saw how sincere he is when he told me that. I admit that John is a nice man even I have hesitation for our life differences he is heaven and I am earth. Because I already like him so I decided to let him court me. So I told him that he can court me. To my surprise he hug me and said thank you. I feel so awkward on his actions right now he seems to be exaggerated for me. At the back of my mind he seems like he is proposing a marriage in his reaction. I look at my watch and I can see that it is already 9:30. I told John that I need to go home. He stand first and hold my hands and pull me up to stand. John and I walk to the place where Jam and friends sitting. When we are already in front of them they are all giggling. Whats’s wrong with them? and Jam ask “How was it? Seems like both of you really had so much fun talking.” She said. We just answered them with smile. Lyn needs to go home now because she needs to be home by 10. He said. “Yes Uncle is strict so Lyn needs to be home by 10. I think we also need to go home! “Jam said. Jam. Dianne and Jenny bid Goodbye to their partners. Seems like only Rey don’t have. The boys walk with us to the highway to get a ride. We are now walking by pair and waited for a ride beside the highway. While waiting for a ride we saw a taxi stop few steps from us. We saw a man get off from the Taxi. He seems to be on his 40’s and look formal maybe he is from work. I saw Marco’s expression changes and after that he called John’s attention. John look at the man and the man as well look at him angrily. John walk few steps to distance from me. Why they act weird when they saw that man? Seems like something wrong with John and that man. The man walk far from us and now John walk near me again and check my reaction. I asked him “ Is there something wrong? He said No. A tricycle is coming so time for us to bid goodbye. Jam, Dianne and Jenny kiss their partners before getting in the tricycle. John is looking at me so I just smiled at him. He hugged me and whisper see you tomorrow Babe! Bab? He seems so fast. So Rey which is currently at the back of John reacted. “Jam maybe you also look for a nice girl for me. See only me don’t have a partner! “Rey said. We are all laughing at what he said. Jam answered him” For sure I look one for you. But you are a certified playboy. “You may only hurt her if I introduce you to one of my friends.” Hahhahaha we are all laughing. John let go of me and I get in the tricycle and sit beside Jam. Jenny and Dianne are sitting at the back.

While we are on our way home. Jam is asking. How are you and John? Did he court you? He is a nice man Jam and fun to be with. He is courting me now and I am still thinking if I will let him get in to my life. As you can see he is heaven and I am only like this. You know my family’s background and I don’t know if we are compatible. Don’t say that Lyn! John will accept you. Just give him a chance. Jam said.

I reach home on time. Papa is happy that I was able to keep my promises. I clean up myself and go to bed. I receive a message from John he asked if we already at Home. I said yes. He sent another message “ Babe please let me enter your life. I hope you see yes soon. I love you! I am so happy to read his message and fall asleep right away. I thank God for this day that I am able to finally meet John.
