Meet Rosa Banks. After being fired from her job without doing anything wrong, she wakes up one night to find her ex-boss, Raymond standing at her door, holding a suitcase, asking for a place to stay.

With debts to pay to him and her annoying ex, maybe making him stay for a few days won't hurt... or so she thinks.

But Raymond is a walking bag of mystery and secrets. What Rosa wants to know is why he chose to stay in her apartment and whom he's hiding from. Hence, is she willing to risk it all for an obnoxious billionaire who lost everything or is on the verge of losing everything?

MY POOR BILLIONAIRE EXCERPT My little apartment is a mess. There are clothes, shoes and other things I can't make up because of the number of shots I have had, lying everywhere. It is almost impossible to see the couches in the living room... My Living room. And did I add that sleeping bodies are lying everywhere, passed out? Probably passed out from drinking too much or too much partying. But hey, who's fault is it? It is entirely my fault because I came up with this whole idea of having a party in my new apartment and two, they are my friends and they were drunk. There is no way they could go home like this. I groan as I struggle to my feet. I had to turn that damn music off. Rubbing my eyes to adjust to the partial darkness, I step over bodies and head upstairs, dragging my feet on the wooden step with each step, struggling to gain balance because my big head was weighing me down as best as it can. As I walk closer and closer to my bedroom, the music becomes louder and louder and with the alcohol running in my head and the lack of sleep I have lost, it is becoming harder to walk straight without touching the walls for support. I finally make it to my bedroom and quickly turn the music off. A peaceful silence rushes through the whole apartment and I let out a deep sigh of relief. My head has stopped resonating with the jazzing beat of the song, but I still need some medications for my hangover. "Geez, why did I drink so much?" I groan audibly as I massage my temples and my forehead, but this doesn't help at all. Nothing is. Before I can think of what to do to calm myself down, the front doorbell sounds. I slowly glanced at the time and it is 2 AM! My feet drag across the wooden staircase as I struggle to keep my eyes open. My apartment is dark as hell, I can't make out anything and my eyes are refusing to cooperate so nothing was helping. So instead, I feel the rails with my hands stretched out and count each step down the staircase. It is 2 AM and I can bet that even the night owls are asleep. So who in the hell is knocking on my door? I finally get to the base of the stairs and shake my head so my brain can wake up from the daze it was in. When I can see slightly through the dark, I find my way to the door and fumble with the locks to get it off. When it finally comes off, I twist the door handle and throw it open. My eyes land at the feet of the person at the door. He is wearing black and white sneakers and as my eyes travel up his tall legs then up his broad shoulders, I realize he was actually wearing a suit. Who wears a suit with sneakers? But when my eyes meet with a pair of clear blue eyes, my worst nightmare is confirmed. Raymond Connor, my sexy ex-boss. But what the hell did I do to receive this kind of lovely visit? "You?" I almost scream at him, all my sleepiness disappearing into thin air. "Before you cuss me out, can I come in?" he interrupts bringing his hand up to stop me from yelling. "What the...," I quickly slap my hand on the wall and take in a deep breath. He's got to be kidding me. "Who do you take me for Raymond Connor?!" "Wait, what?" his eyebrows c*****g up effortlessly. He's so handsome up close. He has gotten more handsome than the last time I saw him. What sort of genes are you made up of Raymond? Or is it the alcohol working? I cannot deny that he is a total snack, but why does he look so extra tonight? Or is it because it's the first time I am seeing him for a long time? "You come to my house in the middle of the night... no, in the morning and you are acting like the oblivious one?" I snort loudly. "Don't think anything bad, okay? I just need somewhere to stay for a few days, and you are the only one I could think of."
