The first thing I noticed was the silk, it was warm and soft, it felt good against my skin, and my eyes glanced across the room.
Where was I? I had no memory of how I got here, the thought of being kidnapped filled my mind and I snapped out of it.
Jolting up from the bed, I felt a familiar scent fill my nostrils, the same scent that had changed my life in the past twenty-four hours, my head throbbing with pain as I felt heavy.
The last thing I recalled was the stranger, the conversation we had before one of the other men, blondie tried to fight and escape and he was shot right in front of me.
What was I doing here and most importantly, how did I get here, I felt my feet touch the cold floor and when I mustered some strength to stand up, I fell back to the bed, my thoughts echoing through my mind, filling my heart with nothing but fear.
That’s when the door opened, my eyes peered up and I saw him, the stranger, still in the same suit I recalled, he sat by the couch and I sat up.
“What am I doing here, what did you do to me.” I gasped.
“You passed off.” He said as if it was nothing, I haven’t experienced this much violence ever in my life, I had every reason to pass out.
“Why am I in your home, I should be in mine,” I whispered slowly.
“We both established you are not safe there, you were almost murdered.”
“By you,” I yelled when I felt my head hurt, my breath hitched when he leaned in and he leaned me over the glass of water, I hesitated a bit before taking it.
“You don’t always have to yell sweetheart, if you were someone else, you could have been dead for even daring to look up at me.” He stated, he was always calm and that scared me.
“I just want to go home,” I whispered, my eyes lowered down, my mind being filled with the thought of being on my bed, but I knew I could never look at that house the same, the terror that happened today.
“You are safer here.” He said, his voice low and dangerous.
“You killed two people and you don’t seem to care about it and I am safer without you and I don’t even know who you are, I wake up and I find myself in your room, your bed, I want to leave and I am going to leave.”
“Be my guest.” He smirked.
I stood up and I headed toward the door when I found someone standing in front, the man didn’t care to move away from me.
“Excuse me,” I mumbled against my breath and he looked at me briefly and he looked away.
“Come back in.” The strange demanded, I didn’t dare walk in. I headed inside and he didn’t speak, he stood up. “I will have someone bring food and some clothing.”
“You have to tell me why I am here and what’s going on, you killed two men in my apartment, I am locked up in your room and a hefty man is standing there, what’s going on,” I asked he stopped in his tracks and he turned to look at me.
In a second, he pulled me toward him and I felt a wave of nervousness wash over me.
“In time I will answer your questions, now if I were you, I would be a good girl. You can try and run Aurora, to be honest, I would be lying if I said I don’t expect that from you.” He whispered as he pulled away from me, and his eyes lingered on my lips for some moments before he excused himself.
By the time he left, my legs were shaky and weak, a woman walked in with food and clothes, I hesitated before I ate after my stomach had rumbled for hours before I listened to it, I took a shower and I thought of my escape plan.
His words still rang in my mind but I didn’t care, this time I headed to the door, and my surprise there was no one, the first thought that came to my mind was this was a trap, but I didn’t think so.
I got to the hallway, tiptoeing and hiding when I saw a pair do stairs heading upstairs and one was heading down, I knew down could lead to the living room and there could be more guards; all I had to do was find a phone and call the cops. I can’t stay here.
I marched upstairs, there was no one there but I could hear bodies coming from the room toward the end of the hallway. It was him, the strange; curiosity got the best of me when I got there.
The door was left ajar, a man was sitting on a chair and he didn’t look good and someone was hovering over him, I felt my heart beating against my chest, my mind filled with fear when I heard the poor man scream.
The stranger didn’t stop. I knew it was him when I caught a glimpse of his face, he had his gun pointed toward the man when he leaned in and he whispered some words to the man and he shot him, I covered my mouth instantly to stop myself from screaming.
Maybe I should leave, I wanted to but my legs had gotten shaky and wobbly, my mind radiating with fear when a tear slipped out of my eyes, I watched as the stranger stopped what was he doing, he turned around and his icy blue eyes met.
“I knew you would listen to my orders Aurora.” His voice is dangerously quiet. “Good girls never listen” he smirked.
