The Healer of Ebonvale
chapter 1:
Liana has always known she was different. While others in her small village chase comfort and simplicity, she feels a quiet ache a longing for something beyond the misty hills and forest paths. As the local healer, she’s gentle and loved by all, yet no one knows about the strange dreams that haunt her: a silver crown sinking into the sea, and a woman’s voice whispering her name.
When a messenger from the royal palace collapses at her doorstep, wounded and fevered, Liana saves him. Before losing consciousness, he mutters words that change everything: “The prince needs you.”
Her destiny begins to stir and the life she knew is about to end.
chapter 2: Summoned by the Crown
Despite her fear, Liana accepts the queen’s summons. The palace carriage arrives at dawn, carrying her into a world she’s only seen in stories. The grandeur of the royal city overwhelms her marble halls, jeweled windows, and guards who bow to no one but the queen.
When she’s presented before Queen Amara, an unexplainable silence fills the air. The queen’s gaze lingers too long. For a brief second, her hand trembles as if she’s seen a ghost.
Liana is sent to the prince’s chambers, unaware that the woman watching her walk away is her own mother.
chapter 3: The Cold Prince
Prince Damian is everything the rumors say handsome, proud, and distant. The weight of duty has turned his warmth into ice. Yet when Liana enters his room, her gentle voice and soft hands melt something within him.
She speaks to him not as a royal, but as a human. For the first time in years, he feels seen. And when she lays her hand on his chest to calm his fever, a strange surge of energy passes between them something ancient, something fated.
By the time he opens his eyes again, he knows one truth: she is not ordinary.
chapter 4: Whispers in the Palace
Rumors begin to spread the prince and the healer are seen walking in the gardens at dawn. Servants whisper about the way his eyes follow her, about how the queen seems restless since the girl’s arrival.
Liana starts to feel eyes watching her wherever she goes. She finds an old painting in a locked gallery a child in royal robes with a mark just like hers. Fear grips her heart.
Who is that child? And why does she feel as if the painting is staring back?
chapter 5: The Queen’s Unease
Queen Amara’s nights are filled with nightmares again memories she buried long ago. Every time she sees Liana, her heart aches. The girl’s laughter, her voice, even her eyes… all mirror the baby she once lost.
Meanwhile, Damian grows weaker, though his heart grows stronger for the healer who refuses to leave his side. When Liana prays silently for his healing, his fever breaks. The court calls it a miracle. The queen calls it something else a sign.
chapter 6: Shadows of the Past
A royal advisor, Lord Varin, warns the queen: “The healer brings danger.” He knows a secret he was the one who carried the infant away eighteen years ago. Now he fears the truth is returning to destroy them all.
He orders Liana to be watched. Strange things begin to happen: missing herbs, locked doors, whispers of witchcraft. Damian defends her before the court, shocking everyone.
The bond between healer and prince deepens but so does the storm gathering around them.
chapter 7: The Hidden Mark
During a royal ceremony, Liana accidentally drops her shawl, revealing the mark on her shoulder the very symbol of the royal crest. Gasps fill the room. The queen goes pale.
Time freezes as she steps closer, trembling. “Where… did you get that?” she whispers.
Liana’s world collapses as the queen’s tears fall.
The secret that shaped her entire life is no longer hidden.
chapter 8: Truths and Tears
The truth unravels in pain and disbelief. Queen Amara confesses everything the scandal, the lies, the fear that forced her to give her daughter away. Liana can’t hold back her anger, her grief. She runs into the night, torn between the mother she never knew and the love she can’t let go.
Prince Damian finds her crying by the lake. He doesn’t speak he just holds her. For the first time, silence feels like safety.
But the world around them is about to burn.
chapter 9: The Prophecy Returns
The royal priest reveals an ancient prophecy:
“The forgotten daughter shall rise, and with her return comes the fall of crowns.”
The council turns against Liana. They claim she’s cursed that her presence will destroy the throne. The queen tries to protect her, but the court demands exile.
Prince Damian swears he will not let her be taken. “If she leaves,” he says, “I will go with her.”
The queen’s heart breaks not as a ruler, but as a mother.
chapter 10: Between the Crown and the Heart
As dawn rises, Liana stands at the palace gates, torn between love and destiny. Damian begs her to run away with him, to escape the chains of blood and duty. But something inside her whispers this isn’t the end.
She looks back one last time at the castle, her mother, and the life that was stolen from her.
“I was hidden once,” she says softly. “But I will not hide again.”
She walks away, leaving behind everything and yet carrying the strength of everything she’s lost.
The kingdom holds its breath.
The forgotten daughter has returned… and destiny has only just begun.
