The Grey family was sitting around in Daniel’s room talking. When the doctor had not made it by lunch time, Matt was getting anxious. When his phone rang, he answered it quickly.
“Hello, I’ll be right there.” He hung up the phone and looked at all of the scrutinizing faces. “I’ll be back in a little while. I’m meeting Barbara in the cafeteria for lunch.” With a quick wave he was out the door before anyone could say anything.
Matt hurried down to find Barbara just about to enter the cafeteria. He took her hand and entered with her. They took their places in line to get their lunch. “I’m very glad you agreed to have lunch with me,” he told Barbara.
