The moment corale came out of his room, he crossed paths with vega.
they stare at each other first in silence before vega without saying anything immediately hugged him tightly.
corale just silently accepted. honestly he needed a hug from someone, his heart shattered by the fact he had to accept that he was just an empty vessel for vyrion's happiness.
"thank goodness you're finally awake, miss corale!" vega said after letting go of his arms "everyone is so worried about you!"
everyone.
corale remembered what happened before she lost consciousness.
the last time he looked, everything around him turned into crystal because he was unable to control his power, including gael as well.
something he didn't want, hurt the people he cared about.
finally corale heard vyrion's soft voice apologizing to her for being late to save her. she wanted to say its okay, but she couldn't, everything went dark after hearing her voice.
"everything okay? gael? gabriel?" coral asked.
vega loosened his arms a little so he could look at corale's face "yes you don't have to worry about that" he said "lord vyrion and i have taken care of all that."
"i see..." corale was relieved to hear that.
"anyway! did lord vyrion know that you were awake? he was so worried about you that he didn't stop transferring energy to you for a speedy recovery," vega explained gently.
corale could see that happening after knowing vyrion's sincere love struggle. he was really jealous right now because that lucky woman wasn't him "everything is fine. you can see the vyrion you miss, vega."
"you know something?" vega asked.
"everything," corale replied, holding back the emotions that had gathered in his chest, "everything including how hard it was for him to go through the trial of being a human."
vega looked down sadly remembering the memory "yes. lord vyrion succeeded with all the ordeal," he murmured, "but it's all paid off because you're here! corale, i believe you are vordelia. sorry i doubted you."
corale let out bitter laugh, then shook her head, "you got it all wrong, vega."
"what is wrong?"
"what you think is true," corale tried to explain, but in the end couldn't because the pain in her heart is too much she can bear, "you better check vyrion in my room and see what happens."
"eh?"
corale showed a small smile then walked away leaving vega who was still confused.
'it's over now.'
he is no longer needed by vyrion or vega.
basically, the reason he entered their lives was simply to broker a reunion between vyrion and vordelia.
that's what he concluded from his first encounter with vordelia subconsciously.

"help!"
corale screamed while running aimlessly in a large, endless room.
he runs.

but there is no end to this room, as if he was running in the same place.
corale paused for a moment to take a breath to recover her exhausted energy.
'where's everyone?'
this room, though brightly white in color, was still frightening to him because he was alone, not knowing what purpose he was here for.
does he have to try all these big glowing bubbles?
corale clenched her fist on her chest.
the bubbles contain memories of vyrion with vordelia and after he lost vordelia—himself.
seeing every struggle that vyrion went through without him was painful and touched his deepest heart.
vyrion kept his promise to be the best father to their baby, antaresia. she also never stopped telling about herself to antaresia, how she was strong, kind, and patient while she was a princess in the kingdom of fleaur.
this made him miss vyrion even more.
'vyrion...!'
corale called out her name subconsciously in her head in high hopes that she could hear her voice and come here as usual.
but nothing.
only silence accompanied him.
corale stared intensely at the bubbles floating in front of her, before deciding to go inside. as before, there was no foothold inside, he plunged freely downwards, sinking into the tiny bright round light that slowly enlarged and devoured his entire body.
all white.
coral is confused. he should have been shown other memories of vyrion, but instead his body stopped in a white, bubbleless room.
"can you listen... i...?"
a faint feminine voice filled corale's listeners, he turned his head to his right and then left to look for the owner of that voice, but could not be found, he decided to ask, "who are you...?"
"oh. so glad you can finally hear me~!"
the feminine voice was getting clearer in corale's ears, and he was familiar with the voice because lately it was always in his dreams.
impossible.
is he talking to himself?
it was vordelia's voice.
desperate that, corale still wants to get an answer, "where are you...?"
"here~!"
a sudden light blinded corale's eyes for a moment, she reflexively covered them with her right arm so she could see what was happening.
for a moment, the light formed a female silhouette, slowly revealing the colors, dresses, and finally formed the perfect figure of a beautiful woman.
corale's eyes widened in shock.

"finally we meet, corale."
vordelia?
corale was speechless.
is this another illusion?
does he see his own reflection? but no mirror here.
"are you surprised?" vordelia asked while spreading her arms excitedly, "me too~! i finally got another freedom and grabbed you!"

"i..." corale really can't find the right words to describe how she's feeling right now.
on the other hand, vordelia let out a small laugh, "i know this is hard to believe, but i've been in your heart all along, corale."
his heart?
corale stared intensely at vordelia's face which was not at all confused like her.

or the half-hearted vyrion that resides in his heart?
"i've been trapped in your heart all this time, and can only protect you using my power," began vordelia, "what you bring out is my power, not you, corale."
corale's body fell to the floor, he himself didn't understand why he was suddenly powerless like this.
crystal power.
healing power.
everything is not his?
"yes," vordelia confirmed what corale was thinking, "including vyrion's feelings for you are for me, corale."
