Miss You So Much

Dark. Is dark everywhere. I quickened my pace while the walls around me were filled with black flames. This flame. I couldn't keep running, letting it burn. I paused, raising my trembling hand violently from the prolonged exhaustion— "No, Princess Vordelia," General Edric immediately stopped my hand that was about to unleash the power of the forbidden crystal which was the only way to eliminate those immortal black flames. His one blue sea eye narrowed firm but gentle like a father scolding their child. "I can't help it," I muttered desperately, holding General Edric's hand tightly, where there was a burn on his arm because he protect me all this time. THEY gonna burn alive the Fleaur Kingdom, how can I stay still? As a Princess here? Even worse I ran away, not facing an enemy who murdered my peoples, innocent peoples. Their goal clearly is me, who tomorrow will become Queen. But, for safety reasons, my comrades didn't want me to join this war. My comrades knew we can't win, because my mother, who has strong forbidden magic passed away a week ago because of the shock of my father committing suicide. And says I'm not ready, I'm not mastered my forbidden magic, crystal yet. They believe it's better to lose now, but can claim the Fleaur Kingdom in the future, with me in full power, rather than become slaves to the Khisfire Kingdom for the rest of their life. "I know your feeling, Princess Vordelia. But let this be one reason to remind us to claim back the Fleaur Kingdom. Don't let their sacrifice become nothing," General Edric explains as he put another hand on top of my hand, a hint for me to understand the situation. My body shakes with loud sob images peoples fighting with the knowledge they can't win. Of course I will forever remember this, but at least let me do something to help even little. This flame is eternal. If it hits them then there is no way to escape it, because forbidden magic can only be neutralized with forbidden magic as well. Prince Nyx knew well why he choose to attack our kingdom now. Our kingdom is busy with my ceremony to become Queen, we hit the lowest point right now. Before I could bloom perfectly, Prince Nyx took this golden opportunity to destroy me first. "There you are." A deep voice behind me interrupted our conversation. All of the enemy, why it must be him? He who betrayed our kingdom. "I know you can hear me clearly, Princess Vordelia. Or are you? With all people's screams, I understand this makes your eyes bleed," His mockingly without shame, "So perfect, isn't it?" "Shut your mouth!" I lost control and snapped at him, "You traitor!" "Me?" He pointed his finger at his chest, but that annoying smirk never disappeared in corner of his lips, "You hypocrite. Didn't you remember you never welcome me in your dear Kingdom? You dare call me traitor when you the one who runs away from the problem like traitor you are." I bit my tongue, I want to scream at the top of my lungs right in his face this is not my choice. I will never be a traitor. But I hold back because other than that, he's right. I never invited him to the Fleaur Kingdom. I can't stand seeing his face every day without thinking he was the one reason I didn't have a perfect family. He, and his beloved mother. "I see you understand now, hahaha ..." He says with a roaring voice, show pride and joy, "You can't even escape your dark past, don't think to rule the Fleaur Kingdom with your closed mindset. I'm, on another hand, I'm ready to become the new King, who is our father's secret wish." "Father?" This is the first time I heard that wish. "Of course he never tells you. He shows how perfect a father he can be to you, but his dying inside thinking you never accept his flaws," He explains, his cold face softening a bit, making me think his love for our father is real for one moment before he comes back with dark sadistic face, "Shall we put this in the end?" He didn't wait for me to respond, he had already launched his attack, I was surprised, but managed to dodge. I was so fed up being defense, couldn't do anything, and choose to challenge back, "Alright, but prepare for your worst!" His shoulder shaking, at first I thought it was signed being scared, but a second later he busted out laughing. "HAHAHA ... Keep dreaming, Vordelia. The one who is gonna kneel, beg for forgiveness is you!" He says, "I've been waiting for this moment." His naive laugh is the one making my ears bleed, but the surprise didn't just stop with his nonsense speech. His body shaking more with green eyes still locked into me like enjoying every respons I show when see him changed. My eyes widened in shock seeing what I see. His clothes in flash been ripped apart as his body grow bigger, his teeth changed to long white fangs, then wings and a long tail emerged from his body. "RRROOOAAARRR ...!" "Prince Elliot ..." General Edric nearly choked says his name, "he sold his soul to Demon!?" "Demon ..." I thought is just a myth, but it turns out what writes in books is true? I slowly start to understand why he says so confidently to me. He knew he couldn't win against me with his normal power, so he sold his soul to Demon. All because of being rejected by me. To destroy me. "Shall we begin, my little sister?" Elliot says, his voice is so deep, like a deep growl that sent a shiver down my spine. "This is bad!" General Edric says when sees Prince Elliot's mouth open start to create a giant black electric ball, "Princess Vordelia, I'll handle him! Just go away far from this place!" "But—!" There's no way I leave him alone with that monster! He will lose, "We'll defeat him! Together!" "No! To much risk," General Edric refused my idea, "I've seen this before. Prince Elliot already went too far, the choice we can have is to seal him." Seal him? But Generic Edric didn't master that, me either. "Just go!" General Edric shouted angrily for the first time in my life.
