Corale let out a small breath, then walked towards the window intending to close the curtains before going to bed, but was distracted by the beautiful night sky filled with stars, "wow ..."
he hadn't seen this sight in a long time.
corale was also surprised even though her father's house was in the middle of the city, light pollution, something that is difficult to get a view like this.
but ...
aqua corale's eyes follow the stars with a tiny smile on her lips.
so beautiful.
corale remembers that eartha has different colors of stars like seeing galaxies without needing to go out into space, different from earth.
star.
corale's mind flashed back to memories of vyrion's past—his first encounter with vordelia. even though the night sky was different from those memories.
is it possible that if his request can be granted? even though it's a different universe?
vyrion here, but... he's being cursed.
there must be another god to take his place during his fall to earth.
corale closed her eyes, started expecting something in a whisper, "i hope everything is fine."
'i really miss vyrion.'
corale gasped at what she was thinking that was out of sync with what was coming out of her mouth.
there's no way that would be granted, right?
corale is not vordelia, not goddess whose request can be immediately heard by the god of stars.
he is only human.
remembering the bitter fact that he kept deep in his heart opened his old wounds. so deep and stifling until corale unwittingly shed tears.
"wishing on a star?"
corale opened her eyes quickly.
that voice...
while corale tilted her head, a hand reached her cheek to wipe her tears. in his teary eyes, he saw the silhouette of a black-haired man and a pair of red eyes.
isn't this what he imagined?
"vyrion...?" corale called weakly, blinking her eyes so that the tears that had gathered in her eyes fell down.
"yes."
corale saw clearly as vyrion answered his question. he froze for a moment.
is this a dream or reality?
the vyrion floating in front of him had a slightly pasty shoulder-length hairstyle—just like the vyrion in his dreams, but his attire was like the current vyrion, wearing a butler's outfit.
'i miss him too much to hallucinate?'
corale covered her ears while shaking her head, wanting all of this to stop right now.
he didn't want to be thought of as crazy.
"this is reality," vyrion said quietly, "i can already use my divine power."
corale stopped moving.
reality?
corale couldn't believe it, she pinched the back of her hand, "ow!" sick.
"you really are stubborn," vyrion criticized, but his tone was soft, "this."
corale reflexively backed off when vyrion's feet hit the floor of her room. he turned his face away when his hand reached out to touch it.
this is absolutely reality.
"what do you want here?" corale asked quickly.
"isn't it obvious? i'm here for you."
corale bit her lower lip hard.
why did he answer her question so calmly as if nothing had happened between them?
is he the only one freaking out by their little reunion right now?
"i didn't say anything! to vega. whoever it was about you!" corale argued in a trembling voice, and felt bitter about this for not being good at lying.
"coral..."
just hearing vyrion call his name already made corale's heart falter, wanting to run into her arms so that she can get rid of the longing that continues to overflow in her heart. luckily she turned her back on him so she could endure "you better go home. i'm sure vordelia is worried about you." he said it for her own good as well.
"my home is here, i'm not leaving."
replied vyrion surprising corale, didn't stop there, he immediately hugged his body so tightly weakened himself once again, "vyrion, stop. i'm a nobody," he reminded weakly as soon as he felt him sip the scent of pamogranate shampoo in his hair, "we know this ."
"you don't know this..." vyrion said "i stopped trying to lie to myself."
lie to yourself?
"what are you talking about? vordelia is clear with you now. have you forgotten how much you love her to take the trial to be human?" corale asked desperately, "i can't possibly destroy such a strong feeling."
"you don't destroy it, you are vordelia."
"what?"
did vyrion lose his mind?
it's obvious vordelia is real!
ever since corale 'split' from vordelia, she was unable to bring out the abilities that once appeared in her hands, she gave up on proving that she was the real vordelia.
how can vyrion think back there?
"i heard your plea."
"your power has returned i think your duty as a god of stars is back," corale made a logical defense, she couldn't find a strong reason there.
"also heard your wish to clarify your relationship with gael," vyrion added with no doubt in his eyes.
corale gasped.
vyrion heard that?
it was his inner heart that spoke.
vyrion can still hear it?
"so far?" corale asked for sure.
"only this time, but hereby confirms my suspicion that the one with me is not vordelia," said vyrion.
corale laughed bitterly.
another nonsense.
"you know... vordelia is exactly the same as the one in your memories, right? she's the one who protected me all this time. i have nothing, just an ordinary person," corale said quietly, feeling sorry for herself.
"can you let me decide?" vyrion pleaded sadly "as long as i was with vordelia i felt nothing but guilt, of course there were places where i felt homesick and nostalgic, but everything changed because—she turned into you, corale."
"are you hallucinating?" corale guessed, something that happened to her earlier, "maybe you need more time with her."
vyrion said sometimes feeling homesick, the same first step as he used to when he was attracted to her.
"i know best how vordelia acts," vyrion said, his tone a little frustrated that corale kept trying to push him away, "what i feel is not an illusion to you."
"vyrion, stop," corale pleaded. no more, don't give him hope. he had broken enough, he didn't want to fall again—he was afraid.
"corale..." vyrion called softly, pressing their foreheads together in one gentle motion, "i missed you too."
corale shook her head, "you missed vordelia. that's finale."
