Corale herself was surprised at how easily Vyrion gave up, quite different from last night where he had insisted until she gave in and let him sleep beside her.
Is it possible that his memories returning about yesterday's events affect him?
Corale tried to test him, "I'm fine going alone." As soon as she finished saying that, Vyrion's expression changed, his lips forming a pout which she thought looked funny because this too she knew what his response would be.
“Don't say that. We will be separated for a long time, at least let me be with you for a little while."
Corale didn't argue about that.
"You really fell too deep into the truth potion's influence, Vyrion," Vega commented, her heart in a dilemma watching how explicit he was trying to melt Corale's heart, "I'll make that electric effect back."
"Return? Don't tell me it's your doing?" Corale asked hesitantly, she didn't want to think badly of Vega, but what she said indicated that.
"No!" Vega answered hastily, "I guess that's part of the punishment." She didn't understand why the effect appeared when he came into contact with Corale only, not with other women. She is still trying to figure this out with Altair.
"Punishment ..."
"There, there. We'll talk about this later, you don't want your friend to wait long, do you?” Vega hastily changed the topic so that Corale wouldn't 'fall' any further.
"You creating that effect again won't stop me from touching Corale," Vyrion confessed, "because she's worth it."
From the way Vyrion spoke now, it was like the Vyrion Corale knew before, and it made her heart skip a beat for a moment, but then she realized that what he said was not good enough.
How could she let him be in pain if he wanted to touch her?
“Vyrion, you forgot your promise?” Corale reminded him.
"I know." Vyrion nodded slightly, “I just wanted to warn Vega. What she's going to plan won't make me give up on you."
Corale looked down deeply, hiding her hot cheeks. In her heart, she was trying her best to convince herself that this was just a magical illusion, nothing more.
"We'll see about that," Vega accepted the challenge with a fierce face, not happy to hear Vyrion's confession remind her of the past. She raised her hand, then pointed it at Corale.
Corale closed her eyes to see the light—Vega's magic was coming toward her. She anticipates something if it comes into contact with the light.
But nothing.
Corale felt no pain, only warmth throughout her body for a moment before it finally disappeared.
"Done," Vega said.
Corale slowly opened her eyes, checking herself to see if anything was different.
"You haven't changed, Miss Corale," said Vega, "I hope you understand what I mean."
Corale didn't respond, "I'd better go."
***
What Vega said turned out to be true.
This time, the bus stop was quite crowded, and there were only two sitting rooms where they unknowingly squeezed together.
Corale had put five inches apart so their bodies wouldn't touch, but Vyrion, who had always wanted to be close to her, ended the distance between them. He fell onto the pavement from enduring the pain of Vega's effect.
“Ugh ...” Vyrion groaned in pain with his fists clenched until his fingernails turned white.
"You'd better go home," Corale couldn't bear to see him tormented by it again.
Vyrion shook his head, “Remember? I won't give up." He said aloud amidst the sweat that appeared on his face trying to look strong, "this effect is not the worst for me."
“I received no answer other than yes. I beg you to come home,” Corale said commandingly. As cool as he was right now, she hated being the source of someone's pain the most. She withdrew her hand when he was about to touch it, “Please.” She continued, this time her voice pleaded.
"You are unpredictable."
Corale didn't budge one bit. Still with her back to Vyrion so her heart wouldn't be shaken by the expression on his face that he wanted to stay with her.
"Alright, I'm going,” Vyrion finally gave in.
“Good,” Corale responded as coldly as possible to end their conversation. She immediately boarded the bus without saying goodbye to Vyrion first. When she found a chair, she took glance out the window to check.
Vyrion was still there, with a sad expression on his face helplessly, could only stare at her—the bus slowly drifting away from the bus stop.
Corale's heartfelt tight for some reason, there was a desire to change his sad expression to a happy one like taking him to campus together, but she held back the feelings that had gathered in her heart by clenching her hands tightly in her lap.
This is just an illusion.
The current Vyrion is the magic-influenced Vyrion.
But ...
Why does her heart hurt so much?

Corale arrived in front of her campus, she was waiting against the wall outside according to the promise she made to Zoe.
'Hm … wonder why she's late.'
Corale thought that Zoe would arrive first because she was a student here, but she was wrong. She filled the void by glancing into the campus area dominated by a large green grass field.
It's hectic today.
Many foreigners not wearing campus uniforms walked by there. It seems like intends to re-register like her.
A feeling of excitement resurfaced in Corale's heart, thinking that there would be a potential good friend out of the many prospective students in the future.
“Corale!”
Corale's body froze on the spot hearing a heavy scream calling her name enthusiastically.
“Corale~!”
Corale's eyes widened, staring blankly ahead.
Impossible.
"Corale? Did you hear me or not?”
Corale was panting now that she wasn't dreaming of hearing Victor's voice. She couldn't, she refused to let her day turn sour so quickly. She was about to leave the campus, but her hand was caught first, stopping her, "Let go of me!" she immediately protested.
"You're so naughty to want to stay away from me," Victor said still holding his strong hand on Corale's arm.
"Because you deserve it," Corale said still trying to free herself.
"Oh? Too bad because you'll be seeing me every day from now on,” Victor said with a satisfied smile on the corners of his lips.
"You-"
"Yes, I was also accepted to study here."
