Strange Power

Vyrion ran intending to protect Corale by using his body as a shield. Unfortunately, he was a little late and could only watch with wide-eyed horror as Vega's attack was about to strike. Vega already carved a big smile. It was clear she would succeed, even if she failed, she would launch another attack. Now all she had to do was wait—“What?” She muttered in shock at what she saw. Before her attack could hit Corale, her body was suddenly bathed in a bluish-white light—blocking Vega's attack, then ending up as dust particles in the air. "Impossible," Vega covered her mouth in shock she couldn't believe what she was seeing. There's no way Corale isn't an ordinary human? Vega didn't feel it when they met for the first time. But that shield of light proved what she thought was wrong, and it didn't belong to Vyrion. Curious, she did it again … this time the attack turned towards her leaving her unable to dodge, and hit her, “Ugh ….” She groaned in pain. Her attack earlier wasn't meant to hurt her physically, but somehow the shield protecting Corale turned her into something like that even though it didn't hurt, but this made Vega realize that this was reality. Vega straightened her body, giving Corale intense eyes. Her heart was in a dilemma with what happened after. That shield ... Vega had seen it briefly but wasn't sure whether the 'owner' of the shield was really 'she' because 'she' shouldn't be here, let alone protect Corale. Was there something she missed? Vega doesn't know this. She will look for the answer to The King. Vyrion who was just as shocked finally recovered and immediately approached Corale who was still blindfolded as if giving up, not resisting at all, not knowing what was happening. He gave a tight hug without permission first, murmuring grateful that nothing had happened in her ears, but his heart sank to feel her body shaking violently. It must have been due to shock, “You're fine. You are okay. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." Corale who was still traumatized by what happened, allowed herself to be under Vyrion's care because she needed this now. She didn't understand why she had to be attacked like that, moreover it was Vega who was being so nice to her, “Vyrion …” She called out with trembling lips. She still couldn't believe something like this had happened. Vyrion tightened his embrace, letting her know he was there for her. Really at a time like this, he wished he had the power to dispel negative energy or memories so Corale wouldn't have to suffer like this, “Sshh… it's okay. It's over now. You are okay." Really? Corale was a little happy that nothing terrible had happened. She returned Vyrion's hug, seeking more warm comfort because surprisingly she needed it more. Vyrion stroked Corale's blonde hair slowly giving more comfort. It was painful to see the woman he loved traumatized like this. He had failed to protect her. Fail. Vyrion gave a sharp glare at Vega who was still silent with no intention of apologizing to Corale who was completely innocent in their conflict. He didn't say anything because he didn't want to bring it up in front of Corale. Vega understood Vyrion's gaze, she felt guilty for involving Corale. She blamed himself for getting carried away by her negative emotions involving Corale. The power she exerted in the first place wasn't to physically harm her, but it still didn't justify her actions. After all, Corale was an ordinary, innocent human. Vega lowered her head in imagining the possibility that Corale would hate her. She was sure it would happen, she traumatized Corale. "Let's go to your room, ok?" Vyrion asked softly and raised his hand when he received a slight nod from Corale. While they were in the bedroom, with great care, he laid her on the bed, "Are you okay?" Coral nodded slightly. Vyrion brought his hand to Corale's forehead, giving it a light touch, “You can tell me anything. Never doubt. Remember, I most want to remove all your sadness." Getting so much care, Corale was reminded of her dream again. Previously she was so afraid of Vyrion because of that, now seeing how much he cared for her, from touch and speech gave her a change of mind. Vyrion was utterly different from the Vyrion in her dream. Maybe the dream was just an ordinary nightmare ... meaning nothing at all. Calming down, Corale tilted her head slightly, leaning for more touch, which Vyrion gladly granted. “You need to rest again,” Vyrion mumbled, raising his hand to draw out his strength, “sleep ...” Corale didn't really want to, but somehow her eyes suddenly felt heavy, and she was back in her dream … *** *** “You think I care about your money? Get out your filthy face away from me!” “Lord Vyrion! You don't have to be that cold to him,” Vega warned loudly. This not the first time Vyrion had been rude to people about buying the castle they were living in. She had asked him not to interfere but was never heard, and they finally hit rock bottom again. Vyrion had another heated argument with the prospective buyer, even though the prospective buyer was quite old and looking to find a comfortable place away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Their castle just happened to be perfect. Vyrion looked away, “I just picked the right person, and he wasn't on my list.” “Lord Vyrion—!” "It's okay, Ms. Vega," the old man interrupted, his whole face all red because of holding back anger, "I appreciate your kindness, so I will think again before deciding." Huh? But the man who intended to buy now didn't think anymore. Vega took a deep breath. It was clear that the argument with Vyrion made the old man change his mind, “Well, I wish you good news.” "Thank you, Ms. Vega,” said the old man while carving a smile that didn't reach his eyes. Then slowly walked away to his black car. After the prospective buyer left, Vega immediately put her hands on her hips, “I told you not to interfere, Lord Vyrion! Now see? He won't buy our castle!” Vyrion ignored Vega's complaint. It's silly for him to do something like this. “Lord Vyrion!” Vega called out in frustration, even holding her hand to keep from being stubborn. Vyrion wiggled his tongue in annoyance, “ Then what? This all can not change everything. I'm still a cursed God."
