Janet Hatfield looked up as Frank and a tall, well-dressed detective made their way down the corridor. If it hadn’t been their actual entrance into her office, she would’ve shrugged off the appearance and continued her upcoming press release. As it turned out, the detective was from Sydney on the trail of an oddly familiar homicide association.
‘Janet, this is Senior Sergeant Kevin Morris of Sydney Homicide,’ Frank introduced as soon as he opened the door to her office.
Janet couldn’t help but blink at their sudden entrance. True to Frank’s style, he hadn’t bothered knocking as if to assume that she had nothing better to do with her day. Nonetheless, she stood up and politely took the hand that Kevin had offered her before returning to her seat.
