For Your Love

The first date

I am so excited today, after a whole month away from him we are going to be together. I don't even know where I got the courage to propose to him but I did and my heart feels more at ease now that I have.

I am tired of waiting for the perfect time, for things to get better. I will make everything better and I will create my own perfect time. I already decided to fight for my own happiness then that is what I am going to do. I used to love him in the sidelines because I thought that I could never be with him. I am going to leave all this doubt's behind me and moving towards the life I have always wanted for myself.

We talked yesterday after the whole proposal and decided to have dinner and just talk. He said that he will take care of all preparation for the date, all I have to do is show up looking beautiful. That is exactly what I have been trying to do for the past one hour, I wanted to call and ask her to help me pick out an outfit for my date but she is busy being an air hostess she is always out of the country.

I want to look my very best for him tonight. I try on a few dresses but I can't seem to like them for the date tonight, if I had become a fashion designer like Adrian wanted from the beginning I would not be having a problem getting ready. 

"You and your room both look like a mess." I jumped when I heard a sudden voice behind me. I looked around me and saw the person who nearly sent me to the after, it was none other than she who shall not be named or should I say my darling sister in law.

"What are you doing here ?" I asked this uninvited guest in my room. Who gave her permission to come into my room and what does she want.

"I saw you needed help so I came to help you."

"I didn't ask you for help so get out."

"I know that you didn't ask me for help but I just want to let you know that I am here for you. If you ever need anything then don't hesitate to ask me."

"I would rather cut off my tongue than ask you for help, it will be better to stop dreaming."

"One can only dream in life without dreams one isn't alive."

"You can go and die if your dreams have anything to do with me because they will never come true."

"You should never say never in life because life is full of surprises."

"It makes me happy to see you dreaming about something that will never happen."

"I believe in my heart that my dream will come true eventually, its only a matter of time. I know you and I know that one day after you calm down you will forgive me."

"Whatever you want to do is your problem not mine so suit yourself as long as you do it outside my room."

"Look I think you should wear the black off shoulder balloon dress, it would look good on you and Adrian would love it."

"You are one to know what Adrian likes." I say sarcastically knowing that she is right. I bought that dress thinking of Adrian I know in my heart that he would love it but the fact that she is the one telling me this irritates me.

"Yes, I do know about his likes and dislikes but that is but the point, I only want to help you impress him tonight."

"How do you know about tonight ?"

"Adrian told me on the phone earlier.."she said before stopping half as if realizing that she made a mistake for mentioning the talk she had with Adrian. Since when did the two of them became so close, how can he tell her about the date. It was not a secret but how could he tell her himself. 

"Don't misunderstand me, he only told me because he was asking me about your preferences. To be honest with you I am happy for both of you, its about time the two of you went out. I am even impressed by what you did. It was very brave of you to propose to him like that and I just have to say that I have become your biggest fan."

"You came here to help me choose a dress, you have already done that so get out."

I get her out of my room and lock the door. That girl really knows how to irritate me and ruin my mood. How am I going to survive in this house with her, it is not going to be easy to live with her under the same roof. I take a long shower and get dressed and yes I have put on the black dress. I am not petty all the times and I know the dress looks good on me. I put on a black necklace with matching earrings. I take my sling bag before heading out.

I enter my Ferrari and drive towards Lux hotel where I am supposed to meet Adrian. Lux hotel is a seven star hotel that the rich people of S city often go to. It is not easy to get reservation in this hotel let alone a last minute appointment. People get to make reservations for this restaurant months before the appointed date in order to eat here. People line up just for the sake of eating here but for the top five richest families it is done with just a phone call.

I arrive and enter the restaurant and am greeted with a bouquet of flowers that Adrian had left for me. They greeted me and I replied before the female waitress led me to the private room that Adrian booked.

I went inside and was dazzled by the decorations that Adrian has prepared for me. It is a beautiful setting of a candlelight dinner. The room was decorated with rose petals from the door to the table, it looked so romantic. A smile stretched on my face, Adrian stood there waiting for me. He helped me sit down before sitting down himself.

We ordered the food and eat silently, it was not uncomfortable at all but rather it felt peaceful. I missed him so much that I can't imagine that I am here with him. My dreams are coming true. My life is finally falling in place and my destined love is finally mine and mine alone.
