SINCERELY YOURS

Tagi is determined to find out about the visions she sees. As for me, I found out that I have a hidden ability: the ability to defend myself against a person with wolf blood, even though I haven't tried to transform into a wolf. A night of knowledge is over, but it makes me feel worried. What would I do if anyone ever tried to take Marvin from me? Or my parents' lives in danger? Since there is a little fear in my heart knowing that my real father was killed, I am even more concerned for the people I love the most. I have to do everything to ensure that they are safe, especially my best friend Tagi. "Good morning, love. Did you sleep well?" Marvin's text message "Not really, but I feel better now." I admitted it and sent him my reply. This morning, when I opened the door, I saw my boyfriend with his wonderful smile. Looking at him, my heart beats fast. As if the birds were happier, singing around. The wind is like a rope, pulling me closer to him. I walked out of the house with Tagi and got myself into Marvin's car. I sat next to him, while Tagi sat at the back. I looked at him, and I said to myself that he is everything to me. His smile is like a ray of sunlight. "Is there any dirt on my face?" He asks suddenly. "Huh? There's nothing. You look nicer and handsomer today!" I said. "You've been staring at me like that for a while, don't worry; if you fall, I will catch you." He's teasing me again. But we both know we want to stare at each other. Everything seemed normal for us as humans. "How about you, Tagi? How was your sleep?' He asked. "Hmm. it's good." She responded actively and nod. Tagi is a simple girl with long hair. I'm taller than 2 inches from her, but she is a killer. Someone who likes to kill a guy with her cat-eyes open, and long colored finger nails. "I might have to start running again by your house in the middle of the night. Would you like that?" Marvin said. But I want to make sure that he won't meet the male brown wolf that I met last night. I am not ready to tell him about the situation that I have. He is busy as a good teacher and as the leader of the wolf community. I'm his girlfriend, and I don't want to be a burden to him. His help and care for me and Tagi are enough for me. For now, I want to keep it a secret from Tagi. "Do you think it will make a difference? I don't want you to have any trouble with me. I'm good with Tagi," I replied. "It might, but it's worth it if I try. If I'm awake anyway, I might run over there and stand outside your window. Have you been awake at night?" he asked. "Um, sometimes," I admit. I am thinking about what happened last night. "The good thing is, our dinner for tonight is with your parents. The more your dad knows, the more he will understand our connection." He says "Yeah, I hope so. And I want him to love your family the same as I do," I said. "You love our family?" He suddenly added, "Ask. But I'm hoping he means me in particular. "Of course I do. I wouldn't hang out there if I didn't." I answered him cheekily. He knows exactly what I'm saying. Today goes by slowly, unless I'm with Marvin. I am trying my best to stay focused and on top of everything. Not only for myself, but for my best friend. I know she is struggling too. She missed her mom. It's already a month now. Before Marvin can claim me, the pull will be over. After class in the afternoon, I suggested Joel drive with us, with Tagi in the back seat. My parents are coming soon. While waiting, Tagi and I do our homework in the living room, so we will get that out of the way. While Marvin has things to do for the pack too. I've been procrastinating since I came into his life. Jolina gives us a box of snacks, and we scarf them down. It's fun to see Tagi eating with me. It was like our old days. We played while we ate. Teasing and laughing. I can see where it's all going too. Not bad at all, I must say. I notice her staring at me. "You were eating like a pig again? hahaha." She said this, laughing. "No, I just noticed that you ate almost all the food." I told her honestly as I checked her out. She stops chewing, and her cheeks flush red. "I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. It's so delicious." Tagi said. The doorbell rang. "Jezz, can you open the door for me, please?" Jolina shouted as she was busy cooking in the kitchen. She still smelled my parents' fish; even the whole kitchen smells of fish. So, I wipe my mouth, the same with Tagi. Then we started to walk to the door. Marvin, standing behind me, greeted my dad with a firm handshake and said, "Mr. Urdanzo, thank you so much for coming and for your willingness to learn more about our situation. I appreciate it very much." Marvin told him honestly. How did he get to my side so fast? While I'm in my deep thoughts, Mom and Jolina are hugging. Tagi stands with me. Actually, I never saw Marvin say that he was nervous and shy about talking with Dad. He invited my parents to go inside their house and made them sit on the sofa. While Tagi and I followed them and sat behind my parents. "I wouldn't normally approve of anything like this for my little girl. It is completely inappropriate for her to be dating her teacher. But I understand that there are extenuating circumstances. I am willing to talk with you about it, though." Dad concedes. "Thank you. I know it's unusual. I am only 23, though, and she will be 18 very soon. But that is still not a good excuse, I realize," Marvin admits. "I just want what's best for Abby Jezz; if her health and schoolwork are in jeopardy, I will make a concession. My wife explained the connection you two have. She tells me about her experience with it and says that it is all-encompassing and cannot be ignored. I know Solidad always has Jezz's welfare in mind; I believe her. But I need to hear from you as well." Dad explained. "Sir, I want you to understand that I care about Jezz so much already, even though I knew her for a short time. I would never, ever consider hurting her. Neither physically nor emotionally. She is the other half of my soul. Hurting her would be like hurting myself. Our people can and will only fall in love with our soul mate. So, I assure you, she is the only one for me. I would never choose to leave her or break her heart. I am committed to her as long as I live. Also, I plan to marry her and take care of her until I die. That I promise you." Marvin told him with all the sincerity he had. "Marvin, I hope that all of that is true. I couldn't want more for my daughter than that. But I am still going to be watching you with eagle eyes. Do we understand each other?" Dad said. "Yes, sir, we do. If she had not felt pain when we were separated, I would never have told her about our connection until she turned 18. But under the circumstances, I felt it was necessary for her to understand what would happen to her during her 18th birthday. And she needs to be prepared for it—prepared for the change." Marvin explained. "Alright, tell me a little bit about that. How does it work?"
