TAGI "BODY CONDITION"

1747 Words
"I know, but please don't tell them, for the sake of my daughter. I'm begging you, Doc!" Auntie Linda's plea, and she knelt down in front of the doctor to beg for mercy. "Why? What's wrong, Auntie...?" I asked her as far as I'm concerned. "Abby Jezz, since you were her closest friend, I will tell you this, but promise me you will never tell this to anyone." She begged me. So I made a promise to her. "Tagi is not normal like you. There is something in her." She admitted. I just listened, as I wanted her to continue. "Nothing, just nevermind!" she says as she changes her mind. "How are you so sure?" The doctor asked. I'm confused now. It seems that the doctor wants Aunt Linda to confess something to him, and he wants those words to come from her. "My mother told me; she took me away from my father because of fear. I understand her without even asking why or what my father did to her. Tagi got sick two months ago. My mother is now 80 years old. She gave me an address and told me to go to that place with Tagi and meet my father" Auntie Linda explained. "So, what's next?" I ask her. While waiting for her to say something, the doctor continues "You found out that she is a special one, right?" "Auntie, what do you mean? What is the word "special" for Tagi?" I ask to clarify. And so, I remember when we were in sixth grade. We both noticed in ourselves that she can do all things better than I can. Things that I smelled, she also smelled. And one big question that comes to mind is: since I went to this hospital with her, are those bad conditions she felt gone? Since Tagi is near me. Then Tagi seemed normal, like nothing happened when I got in here. Is she connected with me? "Miss Abby Jezz, your friend is so special. But there is one problem that I want to tell you about. You have to find someone who can help the patient before she turns eighteen. The condition she felt was a sign of the changes that are coming." The doctor says "What changes? My daughter is not a monster!" She said then. I was shocked by what she said. I think she's trying to admit something. "Excuse me, what do you mean, Doc? By what change?" I ask confusingly. Even though I have a little knowledge of it, I still want to figure it out. "When she turns 18, her body will form its true nature, from human change into a werewolf." He said. "A werewolf?" I said. Finally, I knew it! we have the same condition aside from this sickness we experiences. A breath taking moments knocks on my head. Now, I know Tagi needs a kind of comfort zone for this stage. She has to be guided and she needs me. Thinking about the family of Alpha. I'm sure he is willing to help Tagi too. "By the way, how would you know that she was some kind of, she was a human-wolf?" I ask him. Now he stared at me as if he were talking to me in his thoughts. While we were looking at each other, I noticed that he looked like someone. In Zamboanga, an old man was wearing a hooded jacket and walking with a dog in the streets. I saw him while I was in the car with Mom. "Is that him?" I asked myself. "Because I am one of them, I can smell werewolves from normal people, and I smell you too. That's why I requested that you come over with Mrs. Albaya." "What? You mean you are?". Auntie Linda was shocked and looked at me with a confused face. "Yes, Auntie. I also found out recently with the help of some werewolf friends. They notice me. Don't worry. Mom and Dad know about it, and they promise to protect me." I said. But I didn't tell them that I had Marvin and Jolina, who wanted to protect me as much as possible. "Solidad, knew also about this condition? Does it mean my daughter needs to be close to you." Auntie Linda tells us. After what she said. I heard the vibration from my pocket, it's my cell phone. I know that Alpha Marvin was calling me this time. But I choose not answering his calls. I have to get all the information and focus on it. "I will give a prescription for her medicine. But there is one medicine that I want to give to you." He handed Auntie Linda a small box, and he handed another one to me. "I got it from foreign countries; this medicine was specialized only for humans, with a blood of wolves who were turning eighteen. You should hide it and take care of it. Because it is rare in the Philippines and the value of each tablet is half a million pesos. Same with you, Abby Jezz. Remember this! The effectiveness of this pill lasts 10 hours. Take the pill before midnight to match the time of your birth. This is just to reduce the pain during the first training at the age of eighteen." The doctor explained "Thank you for that. Much help. By the way, what do I call you? Uncle?" I suggested. "Just forget about me! Take this little help and take me, as I am part of your dream. I will take my leave now; a nurse will talk to you later." The doctor said. "How about your number? If I have something to ask, I will call you." I ask him. The doctor came closer to me and said, "No need, you can find me anywhere, and that's what you need to know how to do it without using gadgets." He said that and left us. He is so strange, like the guy I saw in the mini park of Zamboanga City. "Abby Jezz, you need to tell me something." Auntie Linda said. So I told her my story to cheer her up. After what she learned from me, she told the story of her bloodline. "Mom is a normal person; she married a stranger and got pregnant. When I was 1 year old, she found out that my father was a monster. The change in appearance was clear in her eyes. In fear, she ran into my room to pick me up. She locked the door and never attempted to open it that night. In a few hours, she also fell asleep with me on the bed. My father woke her up to eat breakfast. She tried to pretend to be normal, and she didn't know anything. But the truth was, she was waiting for the time he left for work in town. When she had a chance, she brought some money and some important things we needed. While walking, my mother met her husband's father on the road. As my grandfather greeted her, she was shaking even more in fear. She told him that she was rushing up to town to take me to the doctor. But my grandfather insists. He offers that he will be the one to check on me. But my mother didn't give up on him. Then my mother ran away. My grandfather didn't chase her anymore, believing that I was sick. Mother and I ended up staying peacefully in Surigao with no family or relatives. She makes sure that no one knows where we are. But now, I have to go back to that village, where my mother left before. I have to know more to protect my daughter" Auntie Linda said. "Auntie, if you don't mind, she can stay with me in Zamboanga," I suggested. "Do you think it's better if you both stayed together?" she asks. "I don't think so, but if it is for her health, I am willing to help her if that is our destiny. Then let's see whatever happens tomorrow" I said. I am not sure what tomorrow will bring, but I promised her that I would stay to keep her daughter safe. Auntie Linda is like a mother to me. She's been taking me around with Tagi since I was young, while my parents are busy with their work. I called Mom and Dad to inform them that I would go home with Tagi. "You two are precious ones; nothing's wrong; you are not a monster or what? This is not a curse." My mom said this in front of us. I told them the story of what happened when I was in the hospital. "If this is not a curse, why am I always getting sick?" Tagi asks. "Not ever, since you are here now. I will be your protector." I said. I answered positively because I felt that I was like medicine to relieve her pain. "And I am your way," Tagi says, "What do you mean? I ask her. "Because I am, I am able to see things that seem unclear to you. Like things that you own, I usually touch them, and I see what you are doing in the future. But I need time to learn it by myself. So, I can use it in the future." Tagi says. I realized that Auntie Linda's decision was right. She has to find out what is in the family and the secrets it hides. "Okay, all you have to do is take your medicine as usual. I will always call your mom to reassure her while you are here," Mom says. "We will talk to the principal tomorrow; Tagi will be your classmate for the most part. We will also tell them that the submission of her requirements would follow. Dad says. "Auntie Solidad and Uncle Mike, thank you for accepting me here. This is my temporary life now, but it's a big help to me. I will consider it a big debt of gratitude to you to keep me here, especially to you, Besh." Tagi says. "You are always welcome in this family," Dad adds. "Yeah, stay with us and feel comfortable with Jezz. Let's talk about this another day. You guys go to sleep now. You have an early class tomorrow. Also, I am pretty sure that your teacher missed you" Mom says. I remember my boyfriend now. I miss him too.
