BRIELLE Bereavement had been my constant companion over the last five years, a shadow that had gradually faded until it was no longer there. Instead of the flowers of pleasant memories, I find the flowers of happy memories where it once was, clutching my hand. There was now a sense of joy and pride for who we were and what we accomplished together, where there was once so much anguish.
