Unparalleled Existence

Chapter 2: Adrian (1).

The old man passed through the gate and a huge expanse of land came into his view. Being a top class family and an overlord of Legacy city, the location of the Scarlet family's residence was not only at the heart of the city but it also occupied a massive expanse of land. There were residential buildings and multi-purpose buildings erected within the huge expanse of land, ranging from a bungalow to a duplex to unique buildings like pavilions built above a small pond and connected to the land by a bridge, everything was wonderful.The Scarlet estate was split into the outer,inner and core area. The outer area housed the normal members of the family and some branch houses too, while the inner area housed the important members and higher-ups of the family, this was also were the mainline family was housed, as for the core area..no one knew who or what lived there,its existence wasn’t not even public knowledge,only members of the older generation somehow knew of its existence but the still didn’t know who or what was there.

Some of the buildings were for medical purposes, training halls, etc. The deeper one went into the estate the more beautiful and grandiose the buildings became. This was indeed the main family of the Scarlet house, though it had other branches within the city and in other neighboring cities, but none of those branches could rival it both in terms of size, beauty and awesomeness.

The old man walked leisurely through the brightly lit up streets of the estate. The streets of the estate was nearly void of people, only few persons could be seen moving about for urgent businesses and also the family's guards in their nice and well-designed security attire. Each squad had a commander-in-charge,one could faintly feel the terrifying aura radiating from each squad of guards as they patrolled the area.

The lights of some residential houses were lit, as some of them were busy doing heaven knows what. Seriously! It’s 2:30am bro!. Without pausing, the Old man continued his movement onwards and was greeted by the few persons who were still on the estate’s street.

1 hour later….

The Old man finally arrived at another gate which enclosed a majestic and beautiful mansion. This was the main house of the Scarlet lord, Arias Scarlet and other members of his family. This house was located in the depths of the Scarlet family’s residence and the aura emanating from the guards here were more stronger compared to the guards patrolling at the outer area of the estate.

“Greetings Old lord.” The patrolling guards immediately rushed up and greeted him.

“Mn.” Responding with a casual nod, he walked into the house.

The interior of the house was indeed a beauty to behold. Flowers of varying kinds, scent and beauty, decorated the lawns at the sides of the house. Its pathway was also laced with beautiful flowers and beautiful gems the size of a football which hovered above the air, emitting light. A small pond existed at one end of the house,fishes will occasionally jump out from the pond,a garden at another end, rocky terrain, a small forest behind the house, pavilions built on water and connected to land by a bridge on one side, and different natural scenarios and environments existed within the interior of the mansion.

The Old man finally walked into the house and went straight to the dining room where he heard the chatter of people, laughter and the sound of dining wares.

“Father, you are here.” A middle-aged man with a nice build and a handsome face stood up and greeted the Old man, looking at him one may think he was Ethan younger brother as the two were of similar look and build, he was Arias Scarlet the present lord of the Scarlet family and the overlord of Legacy city.
