* Chapter 20 * —The Sleep —

— The Sleep —

Even though Judy quickly fell asleep, she woke up a couple of hours later unable to go back to the land of dreams.

She wasn't used to the soft bed and the surroundings were new and unknown to her so she felt uncomfortable despite the luxurious room.

She turned and turned but nothing, the sleep was gone.

Deciding to get up and find something to do in the room she removed the blanket covering her body.

She got off the bed and proceeded to explore the place. Judy went straight for the vanity,

She sat on the white chair in front of it and began observing her reflection in the mirror. Her red hair that was now less wild then before thanks to the products Jo used on them were now shiny, they were also soft to the touch and all the knots that were inside where now history. Her hair was untangled for the first time in a long time!

The girl was not used to looking in the mirror so she took the time to observe her image precisely. Staring in her light blue eyes she felt as if it was a door to something else... But to what? She did not know.

She touched the tiny mole on her face and asked herself "do I look like my mother or father... I don't remember, I wonder who of them has a mole on their face"

"none of them have red hair like me... I really wonder who I look like" she sighed then got back up to continue her visit.

Next on the tour was the relaxation corner. It had a fire corner with an arm chair right in front. Next to it, stuck in the wall was a bookshelf filled with tons of books. It made Judy imagine being shitted in the chair during the winter with some fire warming her and reading a good book enjoying a hot cup of chocolate. Just dreaming about it makes her salivate and wish for it to happen.

Judy quickly browsed through the books, she wanted to read them all but she knew that if she picked one, she would want to finish it... Unfortunately, she couldn't bring it at home and she hated leaving a book unfinished. So she rather not start any, she just continued her visit.

She wanted to go on the balcony, but decided not to.

Opening the bathroom door, she shocked, how can a bathroom be do beautiful! Bathtub, shower, huge mirror and sink, toilet sit, walk-in closet, everything was in there! She thought of the moment she would use it in a couple of hours. Just by curiosity, she went to see the walk-in closet and surprising enough, it was full of clothes of all sorts, shoes, jewelleries, bags and accessories of all sizes as well. She wondered if she could wear something from there later, when she would be going, but she thought not.

Walking in circles around the room, when she felt that sleep was kicking in, Judy went back to lie down but this time, with egg in her arms hugging it like a Teddy bear. "it's just you and me now buddy so grow fast!" she whispered to it before drifting off to dream land once again. Thus this time hoping not to wake up a second time.
