Alpha Jack Haggerty had always vowed to be a much better and loving alpha than his cold Alpha father. When he took his place as the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack, he did away with many of his father's ridiculous rules. Pack members could now visit the Alpha house and the pack children could choose their own career paths instead of being allocated by the Elder Council. Under his leadership the pack started to flourish and the pack started to strenghten financially. When he met and finally mated with his Luna Anne Lincoln she helped to further guide him in rebuilding the pack to its former glory. The pack's hospital was rebuilt and outfitted with the latest technology; more money was allocated to the pack orphanage and daycare, and the Blood Moon bursary was established to aid derserving pack members in their university education. The one thing they had kept from the old regime was his father's renowned warrior training programme. Packs from far and wide brought their warriors for the programme and it had made the Blood Moon Pack most of its money. All in all, Blood Moon was on the up and up and pack members were excited with the direction their new alpha was taking them. Although he was a young alpha at 26, he had taken to his new role like a fish to water and there seemed to be better things on the horizon. When Jack and Anne had their first child, a girl who they named Siobhan after his grandmother, there was great celebration in the pack. It was considered extremely good luck at Blood Moon to have a girl child first as it was seen as a gift from the Moon Goddess herself. Alpha Jack and Luna Anne were still fairly young at 26 and 23 and would have a son to take over as alpha in the coming years. Siobhan was a spirited girl who was deeply loved by her parents and her pack. It was very rare to see Anne without little Siobhan hanging onto her skirts and she was the apple of her father's eye. She often went with her mother when she did her daily visits to pack members houses and she knew all pack members by name. When little Siobhan was 5 her parents decided to start trying for their second child and their would be heir. It seemed the Moon Goddess was smiling down on them as pack doctors soon confirmed that Anne was pregnant with a male pup. Judging from his strong heartbeat and how taxing the pregnancy was on his mother doctors seemed to believe that the little pup had the makings of a future alpha. However, it was not meant to be. What Jack had merely seen as paranoia in his father turned out to be an unfortunate true. Jack's father had always warned him to be careful of their neighbouring packs who he believed to be supremely jealous of and dangerous to his pack. When they saw the Blood Moon pack growing in size and might the neighbouring packs started to fear that they would soon overpower them for their lands and alpha position. As such, they formed an alliance and hired rogues to wipe out Blood Moon and its ambitious alpha. In the blink of an eye Siobhan lost everything that was dear to her. Her mother, father and unborn brother were killed in the attack and the Blood Moon settlement was raised to the ground. Siobhan only surived by hiding in the cellar of the Alpha house. By the time her uncle Edward (her mother's brother and alpha to the Crimson River pack) found her she had been stuck down there for days without any food. When he had heard of the attack on his half- sisters pack Edward Lincoln had grabbed his Beta and rushed to Blood Moon. He had not even brought any warriors with him despite not knowing what he would be walking into. They had searched around the ruins for any signs of life and had almost given up hope of any survivors when they found Shioban in the basement of the former Alpha house. In that moment, looking at his niece who had a face like his sister and piercing blue eyes like her father, Edward Lincoln vowed to do any and everything to protect her. Even if it meant hiding her true identity from those who would seek to wipe out the last remaining heir to the Blood Moon lands.
