INVISIBLE SCARS

It is said New York is a city of whirlwind and diversity where every corner holds a story waiting to be discovered.And at the very corner of the Broadway theater which stood at the 42nd and 53rd streets lived young Adriana Hamilton,a 19 yrs old college girl who sat at her window and listened to the Broadway theater songs, even as she listened to the theater songs she felt nothing,no emotions,Two yrs back she was a carefree girl,who was always happy and had big dreams and ambitions, but then everything changed on the night of her birthday, something happened that changed her,but what was it no one knew,all those who knew her asked,both family and neighbors but all Adriana said was "Nothing" but everyone knew she was lying, everyone kept waiting and hoping that she would one day open up but then it's been two years, some had given up and others who loved her dearly were still hoping and waiting to get their kind Adriana back. Adriana turned as the door to her room was pushed open and there stood her younger brother Alex "Hey! Adriana I'm going to the cafe wanna tag along? He asked despite fearing she would say"NO" cause she rarely went out "Sure" she replied shocking him,guess today was a lucky day thought Alex "Let me change I'll be down in a minute " she said to Alex as she stood up to go change, while Alex went downstairs. Few minutes later she sat at the Frisson Espresso cafe with Alex waiting for their order "When will you be ready to let it out Adriana? " asked Alex suddenly "There's nothing to let out Alex" said Adriana "Stop lying you keep saying that but I know you better than anyone else,I know you're hurting inside,how will you ever heal sis if you don't let someone in, what really happened? I mean we used to be so close ,we shared every single secrets together but now it feels like we're slowly drifting apart " Alex said sadly "I'm trying Alex but it's hard to let out"said Adriana as tears slipped out of her eyes as she sipped from her coffee which had arrived earlier "I'm always here for you sis whenever you're ready, always remember that " said Alex "Thank you " said Adriana with a little smile.
