"Cut! Thank you all for the hard work! Contestants, please follow the staff for further instructions-"
*Clap Clap*
Applauses and replies began raining from around the studio.
As Soo-Ha stretches slightly as to relief his muscle strain over the past few hours.
"Make sure to double check your room number – You can find them on the board!"
The accommodation was a 10-minute walk away from the set.
The success of the previous seasons is clear to see, as the newly built dormitory is situated in the picturesque mountain site behind the broadcasting station.
Even though, the temporary home was quite close to the station, the contestants still used transportation to get there.
The reasons were quite obvious.
The Assistant Directors were expecting to get a couple more shots suitable broadcast.
As with almost everything in this show, the method of transportation would depend on the rank you achieved.
"Contestants! If you are in the top 10, please make your way over here "
"Hey, it's a limousine!!"
"Woah"
"Awesome"
Behind the top ranked individuals that were boarding the black limousine in excited fashion, were the lower ranked participants.
Although they appeared positive and humorous, the underlying sense of disappointment was evident.
Ranks 51 to 75, went by bicycle while ranks 76 to 101 moved by foot.
The cameramen followed these participants as if they were stimulated by their misfortune.
Frankly, it was a bit gross.
Soo-Ha who knew how it felt to be the first one at the broadcasting station, yet only get 3 minutes to perform or after 3 hours after waiting time be told that they were cut for time. Couldn't help but empathise with those kids.
Unless you were popular or had huge resources, the difference in treatment was something you would feel in this world.
It was survival of the fittest, every day, every performance was a battle.
For ranks 11 to 25, A premium bus was waiting.
Lee Soobin was the first to board the bus, although smiling one could see the bitterness in his eyes. As his ranking had dropped from 5th to 11th , he just missed the cut off for the top tier.
Soo-Ha seeing this, wanted to avoid the unfortunate event of ending up sitting together with the little troublemaker, so he purposefully trailed behind before he began boarding.
As he was near last to board, there were only a few free seats left.
Choosing one closest to the door - someone hurriedly followed behind and hesitantly sat next to him.
It was Go Yoojun.
"....?"
Seeing the young boy, he breathes a sigh of relief, knowing that the ride will be pleasingly quiet.

Not long thereafter, the contestants arrived at the accommodation.
Just like the seasons before, each rank was assigned to a different floor, with floor A being the highest and floor F being the lowest.
A – 1st - 10th
B – 11th – 25th
C – 26th – 50th
D – 51st - 75th
F – 76th – 101st
This castle system would continue until the final mission, as the floors slowly emptied week after week.
Spacious 5-person rooms were assigned for ranks 11 – 25.
Fortunately, because Soo-Ha had been pushed down to 16th, he had narrowly avoided being roomed with Lee Soobin, who was in 11th place.
"Wow -- I want this bed!"
As soon as they entered the room that consisted of 2 bunk beds and one single, a younger boy immediately jumped onto the single bed.
Typically, in these situations, some time would be spent conducting introductions before discussing age of the roommates, and then arranging the room in terms of seniority.
The contestant, who had made himself comfortable ignored this, and was focused on acting mischievous and cheerful for the cameras.
He doesn't know it yet, but this scene will cause k-netizens to have a fierce debate about the line between friendliness and brashness, especially given that 3 of his roommates were older than him.
Soo-Ha goes on to grab the bottom of a bunk bed and then once again, Go Yoojun follows him, as he places his luggage on the bed above his.
Somehow it felt as if a chick were to follow a mother hen.
Soo-Ha guesses it's because, he felt comfortable being around another loner.
All things considered, it seemed like a lot of aspiring idols were somewhat burdensome.
So, certainty someone quiter was more comfortable.
Changing into our training clothes, they head to the main room where the MC is waiting.
"Everyone! I hope you all have found this lodging to your liking as it will be your new home for the next 6 weeks.
But don't get too comfortable as you will earnestly start extra training from now on! Welcome to Idol School!"
The MC introduces the concept that everyone already knew about in an exaggerated manner.
"Currently, everyone has been graded on Vocals and Dance by the judges!"
"Each class will be divided into novice, intermediate and master! Furthermore, there is a chance for individual training to help you improve your performance."
Up to this point it was similar to past seasons, But the curveball was what to come next.
"This year however we will have real time rankings! Meaning you can change classes at any time!"
"...!"
"It all depends …. on your hard work and dedication!"
For example, in 'intermediate vocal' if you had suddenly performed well or made improvements, you would be put in the 'master vocal' class from then on.
Of course, this also meant that if you didn't do well your level would drop.
After keeping this up for 10 days, the final grade would be determined through individual judging.
Everyone's eyes became serious as they knew that this was the beginning of the real competition.
"Now Everyone, I will call you out one by-one... come and collect your badges!"
