Chapter 15

1700 Words
I wasn’t sure if I ended up leaning down, or if she had just surged right on up to reach me, but something tells me that we met in the middle. Her lips were so soft, and I wrapped myself as tightly around her as I could and laughed into her mouth with a pure kind of exhilaration. She seemed to pick up the feeling like it was infectious, it bubbled out from between her lips, and vibrated between us. One of her hands dove for my hair and pulled it up to a better angle, and the other wrapped itself around my waist. Pushing my t-shirt up, and gratuitously groping at the skin there. I could hear my heart hammering in my ears and even though there were people like, right there, only slightly adjacent to us. I promptly told this little voice in the back of my head reminding me of this, to take a hike. I was sitting on the lap of a dazzling woman putting the moves on me…. My woman, I realised with something incredibly like euphoria bursting behind my eyelids, and then opened them because I wasn’t missing out on this view, not for anything in the world. This wasn’t just anyone. It made the way she’d called me her best girl all the sweeter, and I shivered at the implications. Curling my arms around her waist, and feeling the warmth of her weighing on my shoulders. If she’d felt like this… all proud, and possessive, and like the ultimate ruler of the roost? “Oh I am in so much trouble,” I groaned, detaching just long enough to draw in a very much not inaudible breath. “We,” she hissed through her teeth, “I’m in just as deep as you are.” I didn’t have any opportunity to argue this, she was determined to have the last word on the matter. I could only stretch upwards to lean into her kisses better. It tingled and sparked, and left the impression of sparklers if they came the size of mountains. It was a very nice attempt, but I didn’t like being denied the option to voice my opinion, and bit her bottom lip savagely before running my tongue over it. She jolted, and let out the most blissfully contented sigh, and blood roared in my ears. I wanted to hear her make that sound again. I wonder what others she could? “Tease,” she crooned throatily, cutting off the thought which was probably good because dwelling on what other sounds she might be capable of making seemed like the surest road to madness. “You’re awfully cocky for someone I was about to let get under my shirt,” I murmured with a chuckle. I said under my shirt, but let’s face it, if she went to peel off my pants I wouldn’t have stopped her. Despite the fact that I was coming to understand that while it was totally normal for lesbians to exist, I had very little idea of what it entailed for two women to be together, and what ideas I did have were exceedingly vague. Which made me feel like an i***t because I had more than one friend that I could, and probably would, be calling for advice. “Aww. Please?” she pouted before curling her tongue into my mouth, and doing the most astounding things with it I have ever encountered. Her fingers traced the bottom of my bra, and I was startlingly quickly coming to terms with the fact that she was probably about to liberate me of it. Thud. Splash. The next thing I was aware of, I was covered in water. Drawing away from Ivy to cough and splutter while she wove words together to form a hybrid insult-threat-cussing streak that sounded a lot like someone had removed the beeps from the ultimate and eldest wizard swear. “ISAAC!” she let out a bellowing shriek that had me wincing at the end of it all. “Well, did you bring her here to get her out of her knickers, or go to a party?” the most androgynous… person I'd ever seen said. I wasn’t even going to try without someone else indicating first. This was the most gender neutral person I’d ever seen in my life. They looked… Well, they looked a little bit like one of my brothers or my dad to be honest. Not any more than one member of a particular race looked like another of the same, but it was still a closer match than anything else people had suggested. The same bronze coloured skin, and shape to the eyes. Theirs were completely green though, like Ivy’s but a different shade. One that gave to mind the leaves mid-way through changing colour before they fall. I might have to ask what country he’s from… oh wait, was that polite? Could we still do that? Actually, a better question, was that something that was allowed here? I don’t know, I might just wait and see if anyone else mentions it. “Is there any reason I can’t do both?!” Ivy demands of him while I’m busy considering all of this, “Did you have to ruin this for me?” “Oh please, like anything is ruined,” they scoffed back. Ivy let out a growl that had their eyes widening and almost backing off. “It did so, I was making progress,” she spat at them and they looked even more rattled at this. Almost absently she tapped my left thigh, and with a start I blushed. Scrambling off her lap, I’d been so comfortable that I hadn’t thought to move before this i***t dropped water all over us. “I cannot believe that you almost drowned us with a dew drop,” she seethed, popping up and pulling me with her, “You are such an asshole Isaac.” “You’ll live,” they stated and the enraged scream of fury she let out scared Isaac. They did a good job stealing themselves, and looking unaffected, but you could tell that they were. “Come and join the celebrations,” he offered as a peace offering. “Later,” she snapped, “We have to dry off all the damn water you are responsible for.” They held both hands up in surrender, and grinned as if they were unafraid. “Alright, alright. Try not to get distracted again,” they cautioned, before wandering back into the party. I squeaked and hid my face in my hands. “That was embarrassing. There were people. How could I stop caring that there were people?” I said, shaking my head in disbelief. It wasn’t like me at all. She raised an eyebrow and then struck a ridiculous mockery of a sexy pose. “Shut up,” I muttered, amused against my will because I would ask a stupid question, before speaking at a louder volume, “And I know you can do better than that.” “You know it,” she said saucily, before waving her hand in an elaborate gesture. There wasn’t anything flashy that accompanied it, which explained my brain fighting so hard against what I had just seen. One minute we were drenched, the next we were dry. It left something in my mind going pop, and a quiet little huh accompanying it. “There, all better. I still can't believe they tipped the flower water on us. That can cause floods if you aren’t careful,” Ivy scoffed, running her hands through her hair to fix it. “Wait, so they just knocked the dew on us, but because the flowers are huge now, so is all the water clinging to them?” I clarified. She nodded. “Yep, and if more than one goes at once it has the potential to dissolve into a watery nightmare,” she responded before grabbing my hand, “It’s stupid to mess with them if you don’t have to. Anyway, let’s get out there before Isaac comes back to make an ass of themselves.” I started to walk forward with her and then stopped. That… that wasn’t right. “Are you okay,” Ivy asked, frowning. “I’m not sure… I think,” I said, hesitating out of embarrassment, “I think I’m getting my period, but that’s weird because I’m not due for like two weeks?” I shifted experimentally, and yep… that definitely felt strange. “Wait?” she said, shifting to look at me better, “Little One, have you ever done anything like this before?” I didn’t like the gentle tone she used when she asked that, it got my hackles up immediately. “Yeah, I haven’t just been sitting around waiting for you. I’ve had boyfriends before, and yeah we got physical,” I said, tilting my chin up in defiance, just daring her to say something. It stung when Ivy didn’t look so much as irritated by the declaration, because I knew reasonable or not, if she’d brought up people she’d been with I’d blow my stack. “Clearly they weren’t good,” she said breezily and moving to tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. “Wouldn’t you like to know,” I replied as snottily as I could. Her eyes flashed. “You don’t have your period. They weren’t any good because if they were you would have known what this is,” Ivy said bluntly, and I could see her struggle to be kind about it. “And what is this?” I hissed finally, sick of feeling like a naive i***t. “This doesn’t seem like the time or place, but we’ll have to have a big girl conversation later about how I got you wet long before that ass dumped water all over us,” she said casually and smirking savagely. We-oh, I… oh. She winked, and turned, walking into the party with the expectation that I was going to follow. Why couldn’t the floor ever open up and swallow me when I need it to?
