(Charlotte's POV)
My cheeks burned with embarrassment as Alexander continued holding the cup of healing water to my lips. His strong, commanding presence filled the room, making my every nerve hyper-aware. The water smelled faintly of herbs, tingling as it met my tongue, but I barely noticed its taste.
"Drink slowly," he murmured, his deep voice calm but leaving no room for argument.
I felt my fingers twitch. A part of me longed to take the cup myself, to prove I didn’t need his help. Yet my arms were still too weak, heavy from the lingering effects of wolfsbane. And Alexander’s intense blue eyes didn’t waver from mine, silently daring me to resist.
