I don’t know whether I should go back to the bathroom or stay in front of Axel, with only a towel wrapped around my body that reaches halfway down my thighs. He was staring at me intently but I couldn’t read what he was thinking.
“You’re home already.” I was the first to speak between the two of us. I casually walked over to the closet and looked for something to wear. I pretended that I was not affected by his presence. Why did he have to arrive just when I came out of the bathroom?
“Did you go to the bar earlier?” Axel asked. His voice was so close to me so I turned around. I almost kissed him because he was already standing so close behind me.
