I swallowed three times as I looked at Axel. He was staring at me with a serious face, waiting for my explanation as to why I was involved in the arrest of Clent Ford.
"Are you not going to explain to me, Katherine?" Axel said when he couldn't stand my silence any longer. I was still thinking about what believable reason I could tell him. A reason that wouldn't make him doubt that I was lying.
