Elena got home after another failed interview. She stared at the pile of unpaid bills, letters on her door step. Rent overdue.. Hospital bills.. Loan notices... and remembering all her failed interviews, made her frustrated and she fell crying. "This life wasn't for her" she whispered, her voice breaking down.... she decided to end her life. The night became so cold, she stood from the ground and started walking, she walked aimlessly, her mind drowning in thoughts, cars passed, people laughed somewhere at the distance. She stopped at the edge of the road, her heart pounding with tears.. "Mom, I'm sorry, this is the end of me" Elena said silently, shaking.. And then, she stood at the middle of the road waiting for the traffic light to hit the green bottom.. and boom, Blast.. A car stopped, blowing horn at her to leave the road but at that moment, she didn't care.. Inside the car, was Xavier Knight, the C.E.O of Knight cooperation, the richest man in the country, came down from his car and walked up to her.. "Are you trying to die" Xavier asked. Elena looked at him, speechless, her lips parted slightly, but words couldn't come out, it was like, her voice was stolen. Xavier stood almost getting pissed.. "Are you hearing me" Xavier asked again, his tone was sharper this time. She looked at him in tears "I...." Elena stopped after only saying that. "Hey" Xavier called out, then took out his black leather jacket and cover her. "You're freezing, let me take you to the hospital" Xavier spoke calmly. He grabbed her waist and pulled her towards his car.. Then Elena recalled his statement "Hospital" She's already owing alot of money from her mom's medical bills before she passed away and she couldn't help it.. "W-what are you doing" Elena asked. "Taking you to the hospital" Xavier answered. "You don't need to, I'm fine" Elena said, shaking.. Xavier took a deep breath.. "i didn't plan for this" Xavier murmured. "So! what do you want, because now, you are freezing and at same time running temperature" Xavier said, trying to calm himself down.. "To let me be, i said I'm fine" Elena replied.. "Let you be" He chucked loudly, " Are you kidding me right now, I just saw you standing on the middle of the road, looking for who to end your life.... Are you really serious about what you're saying" Xavier yanked out.. "I never told you to stop, you would have just passed and mind your business" Elena snapped and walked out. Xavier got so pissed, he walked directly to her and carried her into his car, helped with the sit belt and closed the door.. "Bring me down" Elena screamed.. "i won't" he said getting into the driver sit and zoomed off.. when they go to the hospital, Xavier called out for the nurses and they quickly came. "please check her" Xavier said. "I'm fine" Elena kept saying.. "what happened" the head nurse asked Xavier "i met her standing at the middle of the road and i think she in need of a medical attention" Xavier replied. "oh! that, so sorry to hear, I'll take her to the ER and check if she's fit" The head nurse said. "I'm fine" Elena said "you don't look fine" Xavier said looking at her.. He wanted to shout but the words to say weren't coming out, this is not him.. "Please do what's needed to get her fit, The bills on me" Xavier told the head nurse... That was when Elena mind was at ease..
