According to legend, the property was once owned by a woman named Elizabeth. She was Señor Franco and Señora Clara's only daughter and heir.
As a youngster, Elizabeth had always felt like an outcast. She found it difficult to establish acquaintances and was usually immersed in her own thoughts. Her parents were worried that she would never find someone who loved her as much as she loved them, especially because she was their only child.
As Elizabeth grew older, she became more quiet, distant and introverted. She spent much of her time reading books and writing in her journal. She found solace in the pages of her favorite novels, lost herself in the characters and their experiences.
"Why does it feel like everyone else has found their happily ever after except for me?" Elizabeth sighed. When am I going to discover my own charming prince?”
“Finding love is difficult, and it takes time,” said Clara, her mom.
Still wearing a sad face, Elizabeth replied, “But what if I never meet the right person, Mom? What if I'm meant to stay alone for the rest of my life?”
Clara stroked her hair softly and murmured, "You'll find your own happiness in your own time." Hmmm..., and since we're on the subject of happiness, I suppose it's time for you to spend more time outside your room and the library, honey."
Elizabeth paused and added, "I'm not sure, Mom..."
"Elizabeth, you know that even Rapunzel had to show herself in order for her prince to notice her," Clara giggled.
When Elizabeth was in her early twenties, she met a man named James. They met in a coffee shop where Elizabeth frequently went to read and write in her diary. James was also a regular at the coffee shop, and he frequently engaged in talks with the other customers. Elizabeth was first apprehensive to speak with him, but something about his easy going demeanor pulled her in. He was charming, handsome, and everything she had ever dreamed of.
Elizabeth and James became friends over the following weeks. They would frequently talk over coffee about their favorite novels and movies. Elizabeth began to look forward to their discussions and realized she was developing feelings for James. She attempted to ignore her feelings, convinced that he would never feel the same way for her.
One day, James asked Elizabeth if she would like to go on a date with him.
James took a deep breath and gave Elizabeth a worried grin. "Elizabeth, I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me?"
Elizabeth's heart skipped a beat as she looked up from her book. She'd been waiting for James to make a move for what seemed like an eternity.
"I would be delighted, James," she answered, her voice firm.
James let out a relieved sigh. "How about this Friday? I know this great Italian place down the street that I think you'll enjoy."
Elizabeth grinned, butterflies fluttering in her tummy. "Friday sounds perfect," she said.
Elizabeth couldn't help but feel dizzy with joy as James walked away. She had been waiting for this moment for a long time and was excited to see where their relationship would go from here.
The talk flowed freely as James and Elizabeth sat across from one other in the tiny Italian restaurant. They discussed their favorite novels, movies, and childhood recollections.
"So, Elizabeth, what do you like to do in your spare time?" James said as he sipped his red wine.
"I enjoy reading and writing in my journal," Elizabeth said as she dug into her noodles. "I also enjoy hiking and exploring nature."
"That's fantastic," James remarked, his eyes brightening. "I'm planning a hiking trip next weekend; would you like to join me?"
Elizabeth felt a rush of adrenaline surge over her. "I would love to," she answered, appreciative of James' thoughtfulness and consideration.
They laughed, joked, and told tales about their family and friends as the night progressed. Elizabeth found herself becoming more at ease with James, and she could tell he felt the same way.
James leaned across the table and held Elizabeth's hand as they completed their dinner. "I had a fantastic time tonight, Elizabeth," he murmured as his gaze met hers. "I'm hoping we can do it again soon."
Elizabeth knew as they walked out of the restaurant and into the crisp night air that this was only the beginning of a wonderful adventure. She was thrilled to see where this new relationship would lead her, and she knew she could face anything with James at her side.
Elizabeth was convinced that James was the one she had been waiting for all her life.
Elizabeth and James continued to date over the following months, and their connection got stronger. They had many hobbies in common, like hiking and coffee shop hopping. James seemed to be understanding of Elizabeth's introversion and never pushed her to be more extroverted than she felt comfortable with. He appeared to comprehend her in a way that no one else had.
