***** Next day at Emma's pack house ******
"Well yesterday was filled with many.... shocking events.", I whispered to myself while playing with Poppy on the floor.
"You don't say", sneered Athena with a certain venom laced in her words.
"Athea, I am sorry but even though aunt Sky and uncle Derek abuse us doesn't mean we tell our mate so he kills them. Aunt Sky is my only and last living kin and I don't want any harm done to her".
"Emma, we had our chance to be happy and safe with our mate and be loved for the first time since our parents died and you prefer to live here miserable and abused."
"Athena, please understand my point of view in this".
Athena didn't even reply to me she just went to the back of my mind as if I didn't just explain myself to her. I mean I do understand her frustration. While on Saturday I was very happy, I was excited too because I had never been with my mate for a whole day much less meet one of his pack members. Sam is a very kind boy he is about 5'9 and has brown hair and black eyes he is also Hispanic just like me and I could see why Luca befriended someone like Sam. It was kind of nice seeing someone other than your wolf or mate get worried over your safety it was kind of sweet. It made me feel happy and warm. But Out of nowhere Athena begins to mind link me all worried.
"Because mate already knows we get abused and he feels our pain, I suggest we temporarily cut my link to Axel"
"Okay but do you think he will notice"
"Of course Axel would freaking notice we talk every single dang day while you humans are doing whatever your little selves feel like doing", she basically screeched in my head.
"Oh-oh, Alpha Derek is calling us to head down to his basement"
"Okay, this is not good", I said while shaking profusely.

"Hurry up you b***h"
"I'm coming A-alpha Derek", I was saying while sprinting down from my room to his big office.
While I mumbled the last of his name I felt a huge tug at my neck and it was him staring at me with the most deadliest stare one could give somebody. After he grabbed a good portion of my wavy hair he yanked it down as hard as he probably most likely could ripping it out of my scalp and began dragging me down to the basement. Probably every pack member who lived in the mansion saw the big scene unfold. I mean I was a crying hysterically because I knew what was about to happen. Usually when I am dragged down here it is normally to inject me with daily dose of silver or if I forget to do a certain chore. He sat me up and took my favorite purple laced top and started cutting it until it was no more and I was left in my black bra. He then went to a small cart at the corner of the dungeon full of his and Luna's torture weapons. At first he had planned to put the silver in me but he wanted me to feel his wrath so he got his whip laced with silver and started hitting me in my back. I swore I could feel the strips of skin peeling and the blood running down my back. I was screaming and crying and jumping or thrashing around form the pain. Alpha got annoyed but still proceeded and tied my hands to a cell and I could feel my hands burning from the silver ropes.
While I cried in pain he came and started punching me in the face and stomach until I was throwing up blood. I had started feeling the swelling on both my eyes and my broken nose, but when I started losing conscious he began telling me but as in a question format what was the point on having claws if I didn't have a wolf and my eyes widened when I caught on to his reference and I was begging him for mercy and I promised him I would do anything he wanted me to do but he just pulled up a stool and grabbed his declawer and began taking out all of my nails from my hands to my feet while singing a song called 'Hanging Tree' I screamed in agony while he kept pulling me back to him while he made sure not to leave any fingers and toes without torturing. Then I woke up to ice cold water being thrown at me and it was Luna Sky and my ex best friend Justin Michaelson former future beta of this pack, he was the Luna's guard and he enjoyed assisting them he would always smile down at me while I screamed and cried, every time he helped my Alpha's torture me it felt like another torture itself because he was like a younger brother to me. After Alpha Derek finished toying with my body, Luna Sky pronounced it was her turn and she grabbed a hot iron and branded her packs crest on my upper stomach area making me scream as loud as possible. After I passed out for the second or third time today, she gave me a shot full of silver in my neck knocking the last bit of consciousness out of Athea.
"Please stop, it hurts too much", I cried out while bleeding from every part of my body and feeling as though I was gonna puke.
"Oh shut it 'Princess'...", said Justin with an evil smile while using the nickname he used to call me.
"How will I go to school now?..", I managed to whisper while closing my eyes.

"What do you think happened to mate?.."
"I really don't know but maybe she was too late for the bus or she is sick", I said while trying to calm Axel and myself down.
"I don't feel really good"
"Axel it might have been something you have ate"
"I guess you might be right but pay attention to class so tomorrow when mate comes you can hand her the notes"
I smiled at that because even though I feel anxious about not being with my mate I feel peaceful when I talk about her with Axel. Whilst I wrote all my notes down everyone kept giving me long and confused expressions. I didn't understand what it was all that about but a few of the students that passed me had this deep longing expression as if they wanted to tell me or warn me from something. After class I kept walking down the halls and trying to enter to the cafeteria which was as full as a Chick-fil-A on a Saturday and the people either smiled at me weirdly or smiled at me sympathetically.

It is already Tuesday and mate hasn't reach out to us at all. The last form of contact we had was on Saturday and then Athea never linked Axel again which is very concerning since they are always talking to each other and doing whatever things wolves do to their mates (if you know what I mean) wink* wink*. I will say that I haven't seen anything Rated- R in my head since Saturday meaning Axel and Athea haven't been 'fooling around' Not that I mind because it is of my mate but still. I have actually been trying to avoid the pack house for as long as I can but enough is enough I am going to see how my mate is doing tomorrow and also have that stupid dinner my parents agreed on me to have with this packs Alpha and Luna.
After my fourth period ended me and Samuel began heading out to my car. On the way home we bought a few get well soon gifts for Emma. I know that she hasn't told me that she is sick but what other reason could it be if she missed two school days in a row.
"Plus we haven't spoken to her or Athena for three days, counting Sunday", added Axel.
I went into the Walgreens and grabbed a huge teddy bear and some of the chocolates Emma had told me where her favorites. She gave me a big list and of course I payed attention and I am getting all of them plus Campbell, Lipton, Maruchan, soups and her favorite chocolates are Hersheys, Twix, Snickers, Dove, Crunch, etc. I ended up getting her a few books and I even stopped at the Apple store which was about half hour away and bought her the new rose gold Iphone 11. (What I am a Alpha and seriously loaded I am filthy rich). After this whole day of shopping for Emma, Samuel also decided to make her chocolate chip cookies. I know we are probably going over board but this is my Luna we are talking about, she deserves everything plus more. I left everything in the car because it was too much to carry into the apartment but tomorrow after school me and Mule have to eat dinner at the pack house then I will give Emma all her gifts.
"She doesn't have a clue what is coming for her", I said with a cheerful smile.
