Meeting Mate

                                  ********************** Emma's POV ***********************

 "I don't know I just feel like something big is gonna happen today"

 "Okay, well stop doing whatever your doing because I can't concentrate on getting ready"

 Now, where was I, I asked myself.. Oh yeah I am drying myself off and now I have to put my clothes on.  

 "Do you think your Aunt and Uncle are up right now?

 "Mhm probably not since it is only 7AM and as you know they wake up around 8 AM"  

 okay Athena, what do you think I should do on my hair today?

 "Just do a half up half down type of look"

                                     ****************** five minutes later ********************

 I don't know if I should run to Luna's room and borrow some of her makeup. You know what on second thought let me not do that because I don't want to get punished.  Anyways I don't even know what to do with makeup and I have never tried it so today will not be that day. I walked to my old and shabby brown dresser and popped some eos mint lip balm and admired myself in my small and broken hand mirror that was given to me by my mother.

 " Ohhh girl, look at you. This is the first time you look nice in years!, stated Athena with a huge grin. 

 "Thanks Athena but lets get our Alpha's breakfast ready that way we can take care of Poppy before heading out to school". 

 Since I woke up today I have been very excited and happy to get to school. Anyways I walk down the four wooden staircases down the hall of Alpha's and Luna's which is just a hall with pictures of every Alpha and his Luna that have ever protected the Golden Moon Pack or the now called by my snobby Aunt and Uncle the "Diamond Moon Pack" I always love to see my mom and dad's picture they look so happy that I just stop and look at it for a few seconds every time I pass by. then I walk for what seems like 5 minutes before arriving at a perfectly NOT happy kitchen full of pack members. I was mortified, when I tell you my jaw dropped I mean it dropped to like the floor. 

 "Get a grip Em, don't let them see that we're scared of them", said Athena with a shaky voice.

  The thing with the pack members is that we were all young when the rouge attack happened so we where kept in a safe room while all the adults fought. It is very sad because all of the pups that survived the attack blamed me and my parents for their deaths. Every single living pup stayed as an orphan until my Aunt came and took over giving everyone a new family and homes and started feeding the pack lies about my parents saying that everything was set up to happen and that I was some how at fault. I will say, it is painful to see them treat me like I am some low life because at some point in their young lives I was their friend and future Luna then slowly but surely everyone started to hate me. Even they sometimes put their hands on me and it is scary because I can't fight them back, not because I don't want to but because I get silver injected in me two times a week making me very ill and weak.

 But instead of being their future Luna I am now the cook, servant, slave of the whole pack. I can't even talk back to them without getting punished. Once I got out of my shock I stated "Good Morning" to them just for them to tell me to shut up and make them breakfast. I did as I was told and made Bacon and eggs with orange juice for breakfast it was already 8:30 when I checked the clock so I began walking up the steps to the Alpha's floor and brought them their breakfast. Because I was so nervous I spilled some juice on my Uncle's napkin and he grabbed me by my face and told me to be more careful while leaving fingerprints on both sides of my cheeks. He even slapped me and spat on my face. He said I deserved that for making him wait half an hour and I left already shaken up as it is and ran jumping from steps to steps trying to get to my room without crying, once I got there I washed my face with soap and water and put some deodorant and perfume on.  I smiled sadly at myself thinking of what my life has become. Then out of nowhere Poppy starts barking and whining. 

 "Umm Ems we haven't taken Poppy on his walk or fed him yet..."

 Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about Poppy so I ran downstairs with Poppy in my arms and let him go in the backyard while I grabbed some chicken and water and poured it into two deep bowls and waited for him to finish his business I glanced at my reflection which I couldn't believe it because I looked like a whole other girl. I snapped out of that thought when Poppy started barking and I let him in, afterwards I walked from the kitchen to the staircases with Poppy near my feet and his food and water balancing on my arm/hand. 

 Okay, please be a good puppy and don't bark or make any noise now here take this and eat it. I said while I placed his meal at the corner of my room which happened to be next to my dirty laundry which he liked to sleep in. 

 After I finished my morning routine I started waiting outside at the pack's bus stop. When we got to school it was already 9:10 AM and Athena's mood started perking up and that's when I knew today was gonna be different. Me being oblivious to everything as usual I swung my locker door open without noticing the meanest person EVER!! walking to her pink bedazzled locker which is next to mine. 

 Her name is Clara Alvarez and her parents where high rank warriors which if you wouldn't have guessed it already; where the first ones to die the day of the Rouge attack trying to protect my parents. 

 When I opened my locker all I heard was "OH MY MOON GODDESS, THIS TWIT JUST HIT ME" Then I knew I was in trouble because she lunged at me and started hitting me with her little entourage they punched me, kicked me, they were even slamming me against the locker before a murderous growl was heard. There was so much power and aura within the growl that everyone knew to stop whatever they were doing and bow their heads even Athena surrendered to the growl. When all of a sudden Clara and her gang where flung to the the other side of the hall by a tall handsome and HOT! baby blue eyed boy with black curly hair his jawline sharper than that of a butchers knife 

   "Eh excuse you, he is not a boy he is a MAN", said Athena dazed by his six pack which was visible through his thin shirt. 

 That is when it hit us, because Athena was so weak she couldn't smell our mates scent until he got very close. Athena took over my body for a few seconds before I fought back for control and said out loud the words that I was not imagining.......... "Mate". 

   He quickly grabbed me from the floor eyes as dark as the night indicating his wolf has taken over and growled softly in a way where I could only hear him then he possessively said "MINE"

I don't know if it was because I felt sorry for myself and vulnerable but happy because I found my other half but I started crying and hugging him for dear life.  He didn't even hesitate he hugged me and picked me up while we smelled each others scents to calm down and I felt like I was on cloud-nine. I loved the feeling of being touched by my Mate because everywhere he touched me, I would feel sparks which is a result of the mating bond. We stared at each other for what felt like a few seconds but it was amazing. 

Athena even purred which she has never done before but I mean who wouldn't if your mate smells like fresh grass and trees. His smell is so intoxicating that I wish to never leave his side. But of course the world has to ruin it for me and the school bell rang. When Mate asked what class I had I told him I had Geometry with Mr. Lower and turns out we had the same first half of classes together. He grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it while putting me back down and I blushed and lowered my head and hid behind my hair using it as a curtain. 

 We intertwined hands and walked to our seats. When he saw me pulling him to the back row he rose a perfectly shaped eyebrow and said "If you want to learn the material you have to sit in front without any distractions".

 "As if having your hot Greek god looking, mate in the same school, class, and by you not distracting at all, scoffed Athena"

 I just went along with what he said without speaking because I didn't want my mouth to betray me and when I grabbed my notebooks and pencils I noticed every girl in the classroom looking at me with disgust, jealousy, and even envy. My mate didn't even notice because he was too busy staring at me with love and affection. The rest of the girls just watched him like a hawk while they drooled over him.

After the class started Mr. Lower asked my mate to stand up and introduce himself and the next words that came out of his mouth shocked everyone including the teacher. 

"Hello everyone My name is Luca Black I am the son of Alpha Damien and Luna Selene making me the future Alpha of Night Crawlers Pack or as many know it as the strongest and biggest pack in the United States and I am a nineteen year old Italian werewolf." 

  okay thank you young Alpha, you may take a seat now. 

 After mate sat back down I couldn't register what he just said and I just sat there staring at him with my eyes wide in shock. "That's why he had abnormal strength when he pulled Clara and her snakes away from us, and his powerful growl; awed Athena. 

   Luca leaned my way and closed my mouth but not before laughing and telling me "You might want to close that pretty mouth of yours my princess mate, before any flies go in there"

   "I um..... thanks", was all I said without even giving him a glance. 

    uh I am so embarrassed right now!

      "Hey... um m-mate I mean Luca I forgot to tell you my name", I told him while turning bright red.

        He smiled at me showing me his pearly whites before saying "I thought you would never tell me"

        okay....... my name is Emma Heart and I turned 18 not too long ago and I was the former future Luna before the Rouge attack and my Aunt took over my pack 'Golden Moon'. I said in a sad voice. 

          "Nice to finally be able to put a name to that beautiful face of yours" Luca said while holding both of my hands and rubbing my hands with his thumb.

*************************************************** The end of the day *************************************

     "Okay well I guess I will see you tomorrow then? I said but it came out more like a question.

     "Yeah, totally um where are you staying at?

      "Oh I live at the pack house with my Alpha and Luna"

      "Can I have your number?, Luca asked while blushing a little.

       "Sorry but I don't have a number or a phone and I don't even know how to use one", I said while looking down from embarrassment. 

      "It's fine, just be ready tomorrow at 8:50 AM so we can go to school together"

      "Okay" I smiled and pecked his cheek and after realizing what I did I started apologizing while stuttering.

        I could hear him laughing and telling me it was okay but I kept on ranting and he cupped my face with his humongous hands and I whined in pain from earlier in the morning when Alpha Derek slapped me and held me by my face. 

      If I tell you how Luca reacted to my cry then you wouldn't have believed me. He freaking started twirling me around trying to find where my injury was until he took a better look at my face and saw the fingerprints and red marks on my cheek area. I feel like you could visibly see the smoke come out of his nose and ears, he trembled in anger and his eyes turned pitch black. He growled so loudly and it wasn't just an normal growl it was an angry one. I touched his arm and told him I was okay but he asked me who did it in a deeper voice which Athena recognized to be Luca's wolf. I didn't answer him and then I  left and took the school bus and went home.

  Well today was an awesome day! 

"Our mate is so dreamy and hot did you see his arms? those muscles were so huge I can only imagine how he looks like without the-"

  shut up don't even finish that sentence Athena. why did the Moon Goddess pair me up with such a perverted wolf like you?, I asked myself. 

After I ran to my room I opened the door so Poppy can go outside while I cooked dinner and an hour later I finished everything and served it in everyone's plates. I set the table to look nicely and without anyone noticing I served myself some scraps from yesterday's dinner and ran with Poppy upstairs. After I took a nice COLD shower thanks to Athena giving me all of those unwanted teenage hormones I slipped some pink panther pj's and went to bed.
