She quickly collected the rest, embarrassed that he had seen her private work. She placed her hand in his. “Isabella Romano.” The way he repeated her name—“Isabella”—rolled off his tongue as though it were a melody. Alejandro tilted his head, studying her as if he wanted to ask her to stay.
