I nodded my head frantically and cracked my fingers gently. “Are you sure?” the rookie asked again, this time her gaze fixed entirely on mine. “Yes I’m here willingly.” I said softly, “And oh! He’s my man, by the way.” Letting out a weak smile. I tugged Lorenzo playfully. His lips slowly curved into a dangerous smile. He scoffed. “Alright then. Gets well soon,” the officers said, waving me off. Their smiles were thin. It was obvious they desperately wanted to implicate Lorenzo, that question and their intonation sounded intimidating to me. Lorenzo wasted no time driving out immediately. His jaw was thick enough to crack.
