His soft side

1012 Words
I stared at him, torn between humiliation and relief. I couldn't tell whether I wanted to slap him or thank him. The mixed feelings choked me. How could he possibly resist me tonight? I am beautiful, and the kind of lady who turns heads when I step in. No man has ever ignored me before, not even when I try to go after them myself. I aggressively wiped off my mouth with the back of my palm and stood there still staring at him. He smiled faintly. I knew he was trying to suppress his urge as he buckled back his belt, his c**k was obviously standing from the few strokes I had given it earlier. "Why'd you stop me, Lorenzo, do I look bad for the job?" I asked, shaking slightly, as the intoxication was coming to my head slowly. He scoffed. "Not today, Princess, you're clearly not in the right state," he said, folding his arms, still sitting on the sofa, legs crossed. "I promise you, when I have you, you'll beg me to stop. And I wouldn't mind if your legs are shaking." I laughed softly. Was that a promise? It actually made me blush. The world around me suddenly felt heavy, I could feel it spinning, and the alcohol effect was gradually creeping on me. "Lorenzo," I called out staggeringly. He jerked and caught me almost immediately before I fell to the ground. I belched, and it smelled of alcohol. "You need to wash off, Princess, you look drunk and sweaty," He said as he carried me to the ladies’ bathroom, kicked the door open but not too forcefully, he placed me down on one of the pink sofas and dialed a number on his phone instructing one of his men to come along with a female necessary toiletries along with a bottle of warm water. This bathroom looked luxurious; likewise, the elegant decor immediately caught my attention. Who wouldn't like this place? I thought, looking around for a while before focusing on him while he was still talking on the phone. My head still felt heavy. I felt my stomach grumble heavily, it churned, and I felt nauseous. I moved close to the toilet sink and threw up a large amount. He rushed next to me when he heard me throw up, and he patted my back with so much tenderness. "Light head, next time no more alcohol for you, Princess, I wouldn't let that happen, I promise." He wiped off my mouth with his handkerchief. My tummy hurt. I squinted my eyes. He lifted me, then came a soft knock on the door. Still holding my waist with one hand, he managed to open the door with the other hand and collected the supplies from his men, placed them on a sofa where I initially sat. "You've got to shower, Princess, so you can cool off a bit." His eyes filled with concern, and I smiled. I think I like this man. He stepped outside, giving me some privacy to wash off, and I did. The warm bath indeed made me feel refreshed; the water was slightly warm, exactly how I wanted it. I changed into the clean clothes his men dropped along with the supplies. It looked expensive, but I wore them anyway. Looking into the mirror, I packed my hair into a ponytail, my phone kept buzzing from Tara and Ava's messages, and I was so reluctant to open them. I realized they'll be worried, so I casually opened Ava's message, skimmed through it without trying to understand what the message read, and I just replied; I'm fine, Ava, I'll catch up with you girls, tell Tara too. Wearily, I tossed my phone to a corner, folded my old clothes neatly into the bag the new clothes came with, and stepped outside. Lorenzo was patiently waiting for me, maybe I spent so much time washing off, I thought. He hugged me and kissed my forehead, still hugging me tightly. "How are you feeling now, Princess?" He asked, finally letting me go and handing me the bottle of water . "Better." I sounded tired; obviously, I was. "I just want to rest my head a little; it hurts." "Mind if I drive you home?" I nodded as I gulped the water. But then asked almost immediately, "Home?" He hesitated, a bit surprised, "Yes." "Ah! No," I chuckled nervously. "I can go alone," I said, remembering I don't have a home, I mean I left the house for Jude and his wife-to-be Vanessa, and I don't know my way to Tara's except with a guide and I don't have the address with me right now, plus I wouldn't want Lorenzo to know I'm homeless, that will be a lot for me to handle and too quick an info to spill. "You're drunk, Princess, and it's late already. I can't let you go alone." "I know… I'll be fine," I sniffed funnily, giving him a passionate, deep hug. "Thanks for everything, Lorenzo." "You're welcome," he said, " Can I at least see you off while you board a taxi?" He asked respectfully. "Sure." He held my hand as we walked through the aisle out of the private bar. As soon as we stepped out, a gunshot echoed through the entire building, music stopped, people ran helter-skelter, the sound of bottles breaking violently could be heard, and the gunshot continued. He stopped abruptly, super alert, and he shoved me gently behind him as he held out his own gun. Dragged me back into the private bar for safety. So he had a gun on him all along? Who is he? I thought. Some of his men came rushing in to protect him. His eyes scanned around. "What's going on?" he asked frantically. "The Hives, Boss! The Hives," One of the men replied panting heavily. "We're surrounded". The other said. Lorenzo's eyes grew dark; the gentle man I'd met moments earlier had vanished. In his place stood a cold, commanding mafia boss. He turned to me. "Come with me."
