FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL
It was a bright and beautiful day for the students of GEORGETOWN SCHOOL WASHINGTON, but not so for Clara, who was a fresher at GEORGETOWN SCHOOL WASHINGTON.
It had been 12 years since Clara lost her parents, leaving her with no memories of who she was or knowing anything about herself.
Before going to school, she felt a sudden change in her body system, which she couldn’t seem to understand. This wasn’t the first time she had felt something like that, but she decided to keep it to herself. Before leaving the house, she asked if her uncle would come pick her up after school, and he agreed.
A few minutes later, she changed her mind and said she wasn't ready to go to school, but her uncle was able to pick up from her mood that she wasn't excited about going to school at all. She said it was another journey after middle school, and she wasn’t ready, so they all had a little family conversation, and she decided to go to school, and now Clara was thinking of how she would survive on her own without her uncle and aunt guiding her through and helping her as they always did when she was a kid.
Now she has to face the world on her own.
No more hiding in the shadows anymore.
It’s time to come out into the light.
The first day at school, everything was new to her again, like starting from scratch all over again. She kept on feeling this unusual taste of blood, but she said they were all living beings; maybe someone was hurt somewhere, she whispered to herself.
No one is dead; I’m living in a town and at the same time going to school in that same town where vampires don’t seem to exist, but why do I feel like I should just go home? I feel like throwing up right now, she whispers to herself as she walks through the school alley to her locker before going to her class. She was nervous and didn’t know how to approach a lot of people.
Clara was already in her classroom, and she had already occupied a seat. She sat quietly as usual, saying no words to anyone but herself. She closed her eyes as she listened to her favorite song with her headset, not minding the presence of others because she was too pretty to be beheld by the eyes of men.
Clara was the best, most brilliant, and most intelligent vampire of her kind. Despite the fact that she doesn’t keep friends, that doesn’t mean she never had any friends; she did, but that was 5 years ago, and since then she has stuck to her cousin, but now he is married and no longer lives with them.
Her first day at school wasn’t that bad after all, not like middle school, where she ran away from school on her first day.
Eventually, I was going to come out of my shadows. She whispered to herself, not minding the person close to her. After all, she wasn’t looking at anyone, just her and her headset with her music on.
The class was noisy, and immediately the teacher walked into the room to teach. Everyone became silent because they all feared the teacher except the stubborn ones. The teacher decided to introduce Clara, as that’s the custom of the school, and introduce a new student before commencing class.
Clara was a shy girl, but she pulled through and was able to introduce herself.
She said, Hi, my name is Clara Michael Peterson.
After she was done, the class began, and in less than an hour, it was over. The teacher passed on to them his rules and regulations in his class and in the back seat. As usual, every class or school has one student or numerous students who are always stubborn and bullies. After all, it's not their business because they enjoy teasing the teachers and bullying weaker students. After the regulations had passed on his rules and regulations, he left the classroom, and it was all noisy again.
Now the first day at school was over, and Clara decided to stay behind for a little study in the library and a tour while she waited for her uncle to come pick her up.
She was on her way to the library when she encountered a lady called Jane, who was running away from the trickster. They are known to be very cruel and wicked. She was running away from them when she ran into Clara, and they both fell on the ground, and Clara’s headset, her glasses, and her drug case fell on the ground and were destroyed. Instead of Clara being worried about Jane, who was being chased and injured by the TRICKSTER, she was worried about her headset and glasses, and she didn’t mind the pain of an innocent lady who was running for her life. The whole thing happened so fast, and it was later on that Clara got herself to the point where she was able to understand the surrounding situation at that moment. She was totally confused about how to go about it because the lady in question was injured, Clara wasn’t sure of what to do because she was new, and she didn’t relate well to blood. She was scared, thinking she caused it, not knowing it wasn’t her fault. After trying to help the lady, she sensed fear and pain around her. How is this possible? Clara whispered to herself," This is the second time I have felt something like this. She decided to ignore it again and asked the lady, Are you okay?
Jane replied out of fear," I’m fine; I just need to get out of here right now. I’m really sorry for causing you harm, and, please, I can’t stay.
Clara refused to leave, and she said," You are injured and bleeding; you need to see a doctor. Clara felt she needed help and took her out of there before the ladies could get to her. She was gone, and they left.
GEORGETOWN HOSPITAL
They were at Georgian Hospital. Clara was sitting outside waiting for Jane, and she decided to use the opportunity to fix her glass and to also call her uncle because he had been trying to reach her. She told him where she was, but she didn’t tell him the whole story. She skipped almost half of it, and she didn’t tell him that she had lost her drugs. After she was done speaking to him on the phone, he hurriedly drove as fast as he could to pick her up because he feared for Clara, worried she would hurt someone, despite the fact that he kept her on drugs so she wouldn’t taste blood because she was in a human school, not a vampire school.
After Jane was done receiving treatment for her injuries, she went out and saw Clara waiting for her. Once she was done, they both left, and they had a little chat on their way home before her uncle arrived to pick her up.
Hi, I’m Jane, and are you?
Hi, I’m Clara.
Jane: Nice to meet you, and thanks for saving my life.
Clara: Well, I actually didn’t do much
Jane, you did a lot. You won’t understand what you just did. You saved my life, and I can’t repay you enough for that.
Clara: So, can I ask you a question?
Jane: You are free; I’m all ears.
Clara: what happened back there, Because I can’t seem to remember
Jane: They are called the Tricksters. They are known to be very wicked and feared by many in this school. Are you a new student?
Clara: Yes, I am.
Jane: They always go after new students, and they are very dangerous,, and believe me when I say they are scary, and they don’t mind who you are; it’s like, at some point, they just want you to forget everything that happened by trying to kill you or make you their puppy.
Clara: But how do you remember?
Jane: Because I was lucky, you don’t look like a new student; try to avoid them for your own protection and safety.
Her uncle saw her and Jane and drove by to pick her up, and Clara saw him.
Clara: I have to go now. It was nice meeting you and spending some time with you. It was fun.
Jane: See you at school tomorrow.
Clara: you too
They bid themselves goodbye and went their separate ways.
LIGHT FADE.
