CHAPTER FOUR –––––––– ADAM WATCHED DIANE drive and admired her competence. She took every bend with precision, although her speed was only a notch higher than people would usually use on those meandering mountain roads. “What?” she asked, shifting her glance to him for a moment. “You’re staring. Have I grown horns all of a sudden, or what?” she snapped, noticing Adam’s annoying smile. Diane was irritated. The man knew how to smile. Every time Adam turned that grin to her, the butterflies in her belly started a hoopla dance, and that was disconcerting. She couldn’t wrap her head around that reaction at all.
