OLIVIA'S POV Thursday arrived with gray skies and a gentle drizzle, as if the heavens were mourning with us. Julian arrived early in the morning to accompany me to the burial, and together, we went to the cemetery which was in Brooklyn. When we arrived at the cemetery, a small gathering of mourners had already assembled, their somber expressions mirroring the sad event. As we approached the gravesite, my heart constricted with sorrow. The sight of the casket, draped in white, was like a reminder of the finality of death which we wouldn’t be able to evade.
