Shane was shocked when he heard the girl’s words, he looked from her to Lillian, did she say mommy? She has a daughter? He looked back at the little girl and all he could see was five years old Lillian, she was her daughter, there is no doubting it. Lillian has a daughter! The realization sounded like a bomb in his ears.
An older woman with white hair entered, she looked from Lillian to Shane and she let her gaze rest on him far longer than necessary before looking back at Lillian, “I’m so sorry ma’am, but she turned up sixty minutes ago with Lincoln and demanded to see you. I tried to get her to wait for you to return but you know how she can be. I had no choice but to bring her here.”
