The Odd Mate

Chapter 7

    I smiled to Andrew then said "Let's head back to the office and make a plan."

    Everyone nodded in agreement and we all headed out of the dungeon. My dad leads us back to the pack house. I felt Lulu starting to get restless and pace.

    Lulu what's wrong? I asked concerned

    Something is wrong and I feel its Leigh. We need to hurry and get him back, Lulu said with worry in her voice.

    "Dad." I said to him as we got close to the pack house.

    "Yes Ivy?" my dad said stopping to look at me.

    "Lulu feels something is off and we need to work quickly." I said with worry.

    "We will do our best to hurry Ivy. We need to stay calm and clear minded to make a good plan." John said before my dad could respond.

    I nodded my head as we continued our away to the office. We all gathered into my dad's office. Ronnie sat on the couch by the door while John, Andrew, dad and I got around the desk looking at the map of our territory and just about a mile out Andrew pointed where Leigh is.  John, Andrew, and my dad start talking about the location and way to get there and rescue Leigh. I walked out of the office and towards my room knowing I will be informed of the plan in the morning.

    I flopped on my bed and buried my face in the pillow sighing heavily. I looked over at my clock on my bed stand. It read one thirty in the morning. I groaned and just laid there. I heard my door open and I looked over to see Ronnie walking in. I weakly smile at him before curling up in a ball and hiding my face. I felt the bed dip down where Ronnie sat down. His hand start to rub small circles on my back.

    "We will get him back safely Ivy." Ronnie said softly.

    I nodded before I felt sleep take me over not noticing how tired I was until my eyes closed.

Leigh's POV

    "What do you want from me?" I asked the strange man in front of me.

    "Your pack. Your parents took it from me which was rightfully mine. I was next in line but my father said I wasn't nor will I ever be ready for it." The man said in anger

"Uncle Ali?" I asked trying to get good look at him but struggled to when he is hiding in the shadows.

    "Yes, Leigh its me your dear o' uncle Ali." Ali said as he finally stepped into the light.

    I gasped in shock then tried to move away from him but winced in pain feeling the silver chains move across my wrist causing me to hiss in pain.

    "Why come after me and not Jeff? He is after all the next Alpha in line for Blue Winter Pack." I said as i glared daggers at him. 

    I knew uncle Ali is no good and has gone crazy after grandpa said he couldn't be Alpha and he went rogue. Many thought he died as no one heard or seen from him in years.

    "Because you are more important to them as being the only one in the pack that doesn't shift into a wolf but still react to silver and wolfs-bane." he said staring me down.

  "How did you know about that?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him.

    "I have my ways of finding things I need to know Leigh." Ali said before walking out of the room.

    I growled at him knowing I couldn't fight him. Everyone in our pack knew his fighting skills are good from his teenage years.

    I looked around my surroundings to see I'm in an open room in what seems to be an old building. Along the sides of the walls are silver chains to hold prisoners. It seems uncle Ali prefers open spaces for holding persons to watch each other be tortured possibly.

    "Mom. Dad." I called through the mind-link.

       "Leigh?" my mom called out in tears of joy.

    "Mom its uncle Ali." I said softly.

    "What? How? he died years ago. Your father won't be happy about this. Your dad, Will, and Andrew are working on a plan. Andrew is a teen boy who is helping us that is within Ali's pack. Leigh you need to try and get free. Also find two four year old girls. Twins, they are Andrew's sisters and he is their guardian right now. Apparently Ali has threaten him by harming his sisters. We will get you three back." my mom says rather fast.

    "Alright. If you can get their names for me. Tell Ivy I'm sorry." I said the last part quietly.

    "Sorry for what?" she asked curiously.

    "We had to hold off the talk." I said as I heard two girls scream in pain causing my stomach to turn in anger. "Mom tell everyone to be ready for us to be back."

    I quickly shut the connection off with my mom quickly. I felt Harry pace in anger from hearing the girls screams. I took a deep breath before moving my hands a part and breaking the chains. I quickly and quietly moved across the room to the door. As I approached the doors the girls screams sounded louder. Harry started to growl and scratching wanting to be out.

    Not now Harry. We can't risk uncle catching us. I said to him

    Leigh we need to save those girls soon. They are hurt badly. I can feel it. Harry said with concern,

    I nodded my head to him as I slowly opened the door enough to see if anyone was around. I watched for about five minutes and saw no one passing by or standing guard. I carefully pulled the door open eough I can squeeze through and I quietly closed the door. I carefully listen for the girls and hear faint crying then could faintly smell. I slowly walk down a hall and came to a door that looks like a hall closet. The crying sounded louder behind the door and scent of blood is strong as well. I check my surroundings before opening the door carefully. As the door open I saw two girls clinging to each other for dear life as they cried in their sleep. I whimpered softly as I did my best to check them over and saw cuts, bruises, and scars all over bodies. Harry wanted to kill Ali but knew we are no match for him right now. I carefully picked the girls up and making soothing sounds to keep them sleeping. As I got them comfortable in my arms I could feel how small they are for being only four years old. Knowing I needed to leave before he knew I was gone.

    I closed the door as I backed away. I quickly moved around the building to an exit. As I got to an exit I felt my uncle near and didn't bother stopping but moved quicker to doors the door that I could tell goes outside. As I got outside it is night time which I smirked about. I quickly dashed for the woods and focused on Ivy's scent as it was strong near by. I followed the scent of roses and lilacs back to Will's pack. As I crossed the boarder line I collapsed to the ground landing on my back to keep the girls from falling to the ground. As I looked to my wrist seeing how badly hurt I was from the chains explained why I felt weak still.

    "We crossed the boarding line." I said through the mind-link to my parents before I passed out from exhaustion.
