We were in the middle of training when Ollie came up to me and leaned up against the wall beside me. I was watching my group mix the chemicals together while also keeping a good, safe distance from them, so if something goes wrong, I won"t get hurt. Don"t worry, I have the cure. "So, Ash, what would you like to do for your birthday?" he asked, watching his group. He had made two teams and had them play a game of capture the flag, but you aren"t suppose to be seen while doing it. It was pretty fun to watch, "cause if anyone is seen, they have to restart from the beginning. "Umm, I don"t know; maybe a morning I can actually sleep in." My birthday was in a couple of days on April 26. I was finally turning 18. I wasn"t really big on parties, I was the girl that likes to eat ice cream and watch Chucky reruns on tv. "Uhh, I don"t even see why I bothered to ask." he replied, shaking his head as he walked away. "Ash, can I speak with you?" I turned to see Alpha standing beside me. I wonder if this is why Ollie left. "Sure, Alpha," I said, walking behind him after dismissing my group for the day and following the Alpha into his study. I closed the door behind us. Before I could register it, I was pinned up against the door with his face inches from mine. "What did I tell you about calling me that?" I was breathing heavily, as I was getting dizzy from his mouth-watering smell of freshly cut grass and vanilla. I know, I know, those smells do not go together, but hell, it"s me not you smelling them. "You said not to call you that," I said, breathless. "What did I tell you to call me?" His lips were inches from mine, making it hard to concentrate. "Jasper, please." I was desperate to feel those lips upon mine. "Good girl." He crushed his lips to mine, sending a shiver down my back. My arms went around his neck, while his hands gripped me under my thighs to lift me up, forcing me to be wrapped around him as he moved us towards to the couch on the other side of the room. I may have forgotten to tell that in the past 6 months, out of all the guys, Jasper was the one I let get extremely close to me. He was there when I woke up screaming from a nightmare, he comforted me, staying with me until I fell back asleep; he was the one I ran to when I finally beat Distrime in a hand-to-hand fight. Praising me when I needed it, scowling at me when I did wrong, but in the midst, he never laid a hand on me. As time passed, our feelings grew and grew, until nether one of us was able to be apart from each other. The others don"t know about us yet; not that we don"t want them to know, we just want to know that this is right, and we"re just not lusting for each other. *Gasp* He was biting around my mating part of my neck. "Jasper," I moaned, before he captured my mouth again. His shirt was laying on the floor, and mine was right behind his, before a knock at the door interrupted us. "Alpha." Jasper growled and I alone with he, but instead of getting up, we ignored the knock, and focused more on getting his pants off. "Alpha, there is a problem: a group of men is on the edge of the forest of the city; and they are just standing there asking for you." Now that broke our concentration, and had Jasper striding towards the door throwing it open. Only giving me a few minutes to put my sports bra back on before Distrime came into the room. Eyeing the shirtless Jasper who"s pants was close to falling off his hips, then moving his gaze to me, taking in my unruly hair and backwards bra. "Umm..." "..." "Did they say what they wanted?" Jasper said; always the calm one, and casually picked up his shirt from the ground before turning to Distrime. "No, they just asked for you." "Well, let"s go then." After fixing myself back up, I caught up with them as they were walking through the small town towards the group at the forest. One of the men looked oddly familiar, but I just couldn"t figure out why. It was four of them side by side, but you could tell who the leader was "cause he was in the middle and stood a step in front of them. As we were only a few feet from them, now you could clearly tell they were neither human nor wolf. A faint smell was coming from them also, but it was too low for me to figure it out. It was like their bodies were disfigured, ghostly-like except for the leader. Other then his all-black eyes, he would be mistaken as a human; his black hair in curls around his face, covering the scar on his forehead. It felt like I should know him; it was a pull like I felt with Jasper, but more towards a pull that guaranteed my death. "Hello," Jasper said, looking at them. He had slide his mask over his face; he wasn"t the lust craving, loving man I was just with. No; he was now the cold killer who wouldn"t think twice against killing an enemy. This is a man many feared, but most respected. "Oh yes, hello; you must be the legendary Jasper Knight. I am Alexander," he said, looking at Jasper, who was beside me, before flicking his eyes to the rest of the group before landing upon me. "Wow, look guys, little Ash has blessed us with her presence too." The way he said that creeped me out, even more then the way he was looking at me. "Do I know you?" I asked, standing to my full height of 5"8 and squared my shoulders. He smiled, showing a mouth of pearly white teeth; it was scary as hell. He wasn"t the only one smiling though, the other three were too, but half their mouths were covered in darkness. Even though the sun was out, the three men would not come from under the shade of the forest. I wondered if that meant anything. "Yes, my love, you do." When he said that, his hand shot out as to grab something, and that"s when I felt it. The burning sensation I had felt when I was in the dungeon that night. Without knowing, I crumbled to the ground, my back arched. I was howling in pain, as it felt like that hand was trailing the fire throughout my body. The smell of burning flesh was in the air, making me gag. I could feel the skin on my back sizzling against the unknown fire. Upon hearing my pain, Jasper dropped to the ground, picking me up, but accidentally rubbing his hand over my back, causing my to cry out even more in pain. "What"s wrong, Ash?" Jasper said, looking me over. "Mmmyyy bbaaacckk," I hissed out as he turned me over, pulling my sports bra up to show a bright red hand print. "Shit." "What the f**k happened to her?" I heard someone say over my whimpering. Here in the center of my back close to my neck laid a bright red hand print. Big enough to be seen but small enough to be hidden if need be. Jasper turned me over to were my back was facing the intruders. My arms were in the air as he pulled off the bra before I wrapped them around his neck; but before I had turned, I caught a glimpse of Alexander"s face, and it looked like he was seriously upset about the situation, frowning at how my body was pressed up against Jasper to hide my now topless front. Jasper picked me up, causing me to hiss as I wrapped myself around him. It felt like every move I made caused pain to shoot from my back to the limb I moved. "What did you do to her?" Jasper growled out, as his now black eyes shoot daggers at the man alone with the others who have now moved closer to us. "Nothing really, it"s just an imprint that I put on her when she was still in the dungeon." He chuckled, remembering how easy it was to do it. "You bastard," Alice said, taking a step towards him before Distrime held her back by the arm. "What the hell do you want?" Ollie yelled, as for some odd reason, the sun was now covered in dark swirling clouds directly on top of them. The wind was blowing faster; the wind causing the trees to be thrown around like rag dolls. The only people not affected by the change were Alexander, who was smiling, and me. For some reason, I felt calm in the presence of this wind storm. "Isn"t it obvious?" he said, looking at us before making eye contact with Jasper. "I want Ash Voltair, my Queen."
