"Mate"

We all turned around to see who said it and it was none other than Mark the Devil.

"What did you just say." I whispered as I smelled the most amazing thing gas and pine wood I don"t see how the two goes together but they smelt heavenly and it was all coming from Mark. Why did the Moon Goddess do this to me? Am I that bad?

"What the f**k! This thing is my mate!" Mark yelled drawing attention towards us.

"Mark calm down people are starting to look over here."

"Mark sweetie what"s wrong" Ashley said striding up towards him. Having her run her hands down my mate chest cause my Wolf who I haven"t heard from in years to rise up.

"This this thing is my mate" he spit out glaring at me.

"Well then there is only one thing you have to do now" she said glaring at me.

If looks could kill I would be dead right now. I looked to Oliver who was in turns looking at Mark with hatred running through he"s eyes and Alice was even worse she was the closes to the table and her hand was inches away from a knife.

"You right babes. You are my true mate and Luna." He said smirking at me.

"Mark you need to think this through before you say those words. You will never be whole if you do this-" Alice was saying before Mark interrupted.

"Shut up Alice! I would rather be that then with this Bitch."

Every word he said had my wolf whimpering and me fighting back tears. I was now completely behind Oliver trying to get away from all of the eyes that were now watching us.

"I, Mark Donovan, reject you Ash Voltair as both my mate and my Luna"

When he finished those words pain shot through my heart faster the lightning causing my to latch on to Ollie for support before my legs gave out.

"I, Ash Voltair, accept you Mark Donovan rejection."

He turned and walked away with his girlfriend while I stood there with all the hateful eyes judging me.

"Olie can you carry me out of her and to the hideout." I whispered against his neck.

"Of course. Alice are you coming?"

"Yes, I"m right behind you." She was still sending daggers towards her brother who went back to his group of friends.

We walked in silence through the woods until we made it to the place and Olie sat me down on the blanket we left there.

"I can"t believe my i***t of a brother would do something like that."

"I know who would have thought that someone would reject there own mate? In front of everyone as of that."

"It"s okay guys I"ll be okay."

We stayed quiet after that just listening to the water and watching the stars shine in the sky. As the moon cast a pleasant reflection in the water.

"Alice what time is it?" I asked as I looked over Olie at her. We was laying on the blanket Olie arm under our heads.

"A quarter till 12 we should probably go back."

"I"m sorry guys you didn"t even get to talk to your mates."

"It"s okay Ash we at least know who they are. We"ll talk sooner or later."

We started to get up and dust ourselves off before picking up the blanket and folding it, knowing that this might be our last night in this place caused my heart to ache even more. As we turned to leave we heard a noise coming through the trees. Turning towards it we saw three figures coming out the forest. Being as protective as they were they pushed me behind them and started to growl. As the figures came into the light of the moon we saw that it was Alpha Knight, Distrime, and Nicholas that stop the growls immediately.

"We have been looking for you mates." Said the man Distrime coming closer before grabbing Alice by the arm and pulling her towards him. Nicholas doing the same thing to Olie making them purr in pleasure.

So that just left me and the Alpha Knight watching the mates together. It felt so intimate to see the two couples come together, you could just feel the static in the air. All the love flowing was making my wolf cry out from the lost she has experience.

"Hey, would you like to walk and give them so privacy?"His deep voice asked.

"Yea, I"m yes" I said back trying to have confidence and started to walk beside him in the forest.

We was a good way away from the couples when he started talking.

"Hey, I saw what happened and I wanted to say I"m sorry. I know how it feels to be rejected by your mate."

I grasp softly wondering what type of woman would reject him. His black as night hair slick back showing off his strong features and full lips. He had a scar running from his right side temple to the top of his eye, which made him look even more sexy.

"Yea" I said looking at him out of the corner of my eye watching his jaw line tighten as he talked making a dimple appear every time.

"The way he did it was heartless. Nobody should feel that pain."

"You"re right but after years of being abused by this pack for being an Omega I can handle alittle of heart pain. I expected it." I replied to him. Looking at the half moon that was lighting our path way, it is only when I am in the forest when I can truly relax. It"s something about the smell of grass and trees is comforting. Or how if you want to disappear the shadows can elope you into its warmth.

"Wait, did you just say that your pack abuse you?"

"Yes, only people that don"t are the Alpha Donovan, Luna, Ollie, and Alice."

"That"s f****d up." I saw him clenching his fist in anger. His reaction through me off he seemed like he was angry. I thought every pack treats their Omegas like that. But before I could ask him about the sounds of moaning stopped me.

"I won"t babes, yea you are more of a Luna for me the that b***h"

My wolf took control before I knew what happened upon hearing our mates voice.

I sat back and let her take over maybe it was for the best. I have always admired the strength Ace had, she was the strong one out of us two.

She took a sniff of the air and started to fall the smell of our mate gas and pinewood but for some reason it smelt horribly now like a mixture of garbage and fish came into the mix.

Ace and Alpha Knight walked upon Mark f*****g Ashley right before he bite he on her neck where mates suppose to bite each other. The place that I once found peace in was turned into a place I found pain. The two was laid out on a blanket in the middle of a small clearing surrounded around trees hiding most of the light that tried to break through. The little bit that did was casted over their mingling bodies. Even more pain came to my heart as it was final he was officially not my mate anymore and choose someone else.

Ace growled causing the two of them to look towards us. With a sick grin Mark kissed Ashley on the Mating bite.

"What the f**k you think you doing here." Mark yelled coming towards us not even bothering to put his cloths on. Even if we wasn"t mates I would have still drooled over his six pack and muscles.

"Yyou bite her." Ace said glaring at Ashley "You bite her and she"s not even your mate. She"s just a b***h in heat. That want every dude that have some type of po-" before Ace could finish Mark backhanded her to the ground.

"Show some respect to your Luna you piece of s**t. I can bite who ever I want to all you need to worry about is how it"s not going to be you." Mark growls out.

There was always a tiny bite of hope that he would change his mind and we would become mates but now that thought was diminished by just a single bite.

"You know what, I hate you. I hated you from the time you first hit me till now and I will always hate you." Ace said as she got up from the ground she gathering some saliva in her mouth and spit on his face.

For a full minute there was complete silence other then the smell of garbage and fish coming from Ashley and Mark the smell of blood was in the air and it was coming from the spit that was dripping down Marks face.

Alpha Knight stepped in just as Mark as raising his hand to strike me again. He had been leaning against a tree the whole time watching. A big fool of a man against a scared little puppy that grew some balls.

"I wouldn"t do that if I was you."

Mark lowered his hand tossing a glare at Alpha Knight before turning to me with a sadistic grin.

"You do know he will leave eventually and that will just leave you defenseless. I"ll stop here knowing that fact."

With that Alpha Knight stirred us away from the newly made mates. Trying to get as far away from the smell of s*x and garbage as possible. We was walking in silence for a good 20 minutes before I stop not having the will power to keep going anymore. Seeing as Ace gave me back the control and was whimpering at the fact that we was now alone.

"I can"t do this anymore. I have been through to much and this hurts the worst." I said leaning on a tree. Ace was in so much pain that she shut our connection off again.

I looked around me watching the trees watch me, hearing the small animals come out to hunt for their meal, even smelling the grass and pleasant breeze the wind, sending the smell of flowers past me but I no longer took comfort from these trees as I use too. I need a fresh start, a new beginning. I look at the Alpha Knight to see him staring back at me.

"Alpha Knight, may I ask you something?"

"Of course"

"Can I join your pack please? I believe that if I stay here I might try to kill myself."

There was a pause before he answered

"Yes you may. Shift and we can do it right now."

He took off his clothes and me right behind him but I went behind a tree first and came out as my wolf. It"s been years since I have been in my wolf form in the woods. I was never allowed to go to a pack run during the full moon. Mark usually lock the door to the dungeon on that day. Alpha Knights wolf on the other hand was pure black with bright blue eyes an big as hell. I stood in front of him an under weight white wolf to a full sized black wolf.

•Now Ash are you sure about this?• his wolf spoke to me in my head.

•Okay Ash Voltair do you vow to protect the pack with your life?•

With that I bared my left neck to him to show my submission and for him to bite. I don"t know why it"s like that but you get your left neck bitten for joining a pack and the right neck bitten for mates.

He said after licking my bite mark once, before howling followed by five more.

My wolf was overjoyed that she was finally free. Free from that hateful pack, the horrible mate, free from not being let out. It was like having a new life and a weight lifting off of me.

He rubbed up against me in a friendly way before nipping my ear and taking off towards the waterfall. Me taking the bait went after him, even though I know he let me I tackled him to the ground as we broke away from the trees and into the clearing.

Rolling around before getting up and prancing. I haven"t had this much fun since my parents died.

We shifted back and put on our clothes we walked over to the two couples that was on the blanket they spread back out looking at the stars and talking.

"Hello, Alpha Knight" Distrime said standing as we descend upon them bring Alice up as well.

"Distrime" he replied before pulling me to him draping his arm around my shoulder sending a shiver down my back.

"This is my mate Alice Donovan"

"Hello Alice"

"This is my mate Oliver Taylor" Nicholas said next.

"Hello Oliver"

I looked at my two friends and saw that they we"re truly happy. I"m happy for them at least they were able to come out happy in this situation.

"Now that that"s out the way this is Ash Voltair the news member to the pack." Alpha Knight said pushing me forward to meet them.

Distrime had his arms around Alice and as he was taking his raising his arm up to dislodge from her. Taking a step towards me taking in my small figure the marks on my arms shined more brightly with the moon light on it.

"What happened to you?" Distrime said looking at me then Alice.
