*Shifting* Chapter 7

I'm laying on the cold ground in front of the packhouse with my father explaining something to Jackson and his father, I'm trying to understand what is being said.

Daddy what is happening to me I ask in pain through the mind-link. It's ok sweetheart your shifting just breathe through it. As my father is talking I see light gray paws all of a sudden she goes crazy and out of control.

Jackson's p.o.v

Seeing Rain in so much pain is hurting me and my wolf, I just want to help her. Her father is speaking to me and my father as I'm just watching my mate in pain.

Alpha Markus is there anything we can do to help her she's hurting, please do something I can't take seeing her like this.

The next thing we know is that her wolf is going crazy. Alpha Markus is mind-linking his pack as my father is doing the same to let everyone know not to come near the packhouse. The next thing I know Alpha Markus is talking to me.

"Jackson, me and you need to get close to her", he tells me. What do you mean to get close to her? Seeing as though I am her father and she has yet to know that she is your mate, your connection with her will help her calm down, but I am going to tell you it won't be easy she will calm down eventually but she also will stay in wolf form for a week.

What does that mean Alpha Markus? It means that for that week she will have a connection not only with me as her father but with you. Does that mean she will know me as her mate? "I don't think so". he says

When it happened to her mother, it took her almost two weeks to shift back. After you connect with her she will be mentally and emotionally connected to you. As he's explaining to me we are walking closer to her. He slowly puts his hands on her fur she begins to calm down. Then he tells me to come closer to her, she whimpers and brings her nose to my hand, next thing I know I'm on the ground with her head on my lap. I look up at her father and he just watches us and whispers that he had to go through it with her mother.

So what do I do now alpha Markus? I ask him and he looks at me for a moment with tears in his eyes, then looks at my father with worry and sadness.

I'm sorry alpha Calvin but Jackson is gonna have to stay with her until she shifts back to her human form.

I'm lost in thought I can't believe my poor princess Rain has to go through this but she will not be alone I will stay by her side as long as it takes. Alpha Markus do not worry I will remain at her side until she's back to herself and back to me.

After saying that her father leads us to the most beautiful shied I have ever seen with a lock on it. He tells me that since I chose to stay with her I am not able to shift because she doesn't know my wolf and I agree. He walks into the shied and it didn't even look like your normal shied it was designed like a bedroom with one large bed and one normal king-size bed. Everything that you would have in your bedroom. The walls were the creamiest pink color designed for a princess. And that made me look at alpha Markus before I say anything I hear talking in my head.
