One... two... three... four...
Flesh being ripped apart.
Five... six... seven... eight...
Blood spurting from veins.
Nine... ten... eleven... twelve...
A chest being torn open.
Thirteen... fourteen... fifteen... sixteen...
Screams, blood, horror, cruelty.
Seventeen... eighteen... nineteen... No!
Roza couldn't count anymore. She slammed the bathroom door shut and collapsed onto the cold tiled floor. From the other room, she could still hear the sound of a knife stabbing a human body, and muffled groans. She instantly covered her ears. She didn't want to hear it anymore!
Please, God, give me some relief! Is this the apocalypse?
Her heart was racing like a wild horse inside her ribcage. Her whole body was shaking like an earthquake. Cold sweat of fear made her kameez stick to her body. Her wide eyes were witnessing hell itself. No, maybe even the punishment of hell is nothing compared to this!
Suddenly she felt a twist in her stomach. Her body heaved. She rushed to the basin and vomited everything. She had lost all physical balance after witnessing that horrific scene.
After the last bit of food left her body, Roza lost all strength to stand and sat down leaning against the wall beside the basin. Her head almost hit the corner of the basin. But she had no time to think about herself. She couldn't forget the reflection of one human's intense anger upon another. Was he even human? Or some ferocious beast freed from a cage?
Roza's mind had stopped working. She was feeling a terror so intense that even the fear of death seemed small in front of it.
Did she ever imagine that coming to sell her dignity for the first time for money would lead her to such a horror? Never, not even till this evening!
She desperately needed money - that bird of happiness called money. When every door of success was closed for Roza, when her back was against the wall, one morning standing in front of the mirror, her eyes fell on her own alluring body. She was not extremely beautiful, nor was she ugly. Perhaps it was possible for her too? There are few men in this world who are not swayed by a woman's body.
So today, the first deal was fixed. After a phone call from the client, Roza arrived at this private cottage in a resort in the evening. Drunk, the client lost all sense and jumped on Roza like a beast. Ignoring the tears of sorrow flowing from her eyes, at the very moment the lustful man threw her dupatta away, there was a knock on the cottage door. Getting a chance, Roza got up from the bed on the pretext of going to the bathroom, while the client opened the door with an annoyed face, cursing in foul language.
It was room service. In a white shirt and black crop suit. His face from neck to nose covered with a black mask. Does any room service staff use such a mask? The question arose in her heart, but as she entered the bathroom, Roza decided to ignore it. And then... with a muffled groan, as soon as she opened the door...
Hell!
A small sound brought Roza back from her dark thoughts to reality. Her eyes instantly filled with tears. She lost control and tears started flowing like a broken dam. No sound was heard from outside anymore but...
When the lock of the bathroom door made a slight rattling sound, Roza trembled. She curled herself up completely. Her restless eyes scanned the entire bathroom. There was nothing to defend herself. Is this the last moment of Roza's life? Will she die so pointlessly? Will that beast pounce on her too? But what was her fault? Surrendering to helplessness?
The glass lock-system door of the bathroom suddenly opened. Roza froze like ice. Holding her breath, she stared at the opening of the door. Slowly, the monster entered inside.
The white shirt was unrecognizable. It had turned completely red. Blood drops were dripping from the edge of the formal pants above the Chelsea boots. In an instant, the white tiles of the bathroom were soaked in a reddish flow. There was no part of his body that was not touched by blood. Roza's gaze slowly moved up from his long legs. His face was still covered, his head hanging slightly in a tired posture. Sweaty, shiny black hair stuck around his forehead, some swinging freely.
Roza swallowed hard as she noticed the bloody knife in the monster's hand. With this weapon just a few minutes ago...
She couldn't think. She shivered. For the second time, her stomach churned. Covering her mouth with her hand, she tried to control herself continuously.
The monster stepped forward, leaving bloody footprints on the bathroom floor. His heavy footsteps echoed again and again within the closed walls. Roza kept shrinking. Her angel of death was approaching her!
- P... please... don't kill me!
Roza herself didn't understand by what miraculous power the begging words came out of her throat. But the monster showed no reaction to her voice. As usual, spreading his ominous influence, he was moving forward, one step... another step.
Suddenly giving up, as if Roza accepted her fate. With blurry vision, she bowed her head and stared at the floor, in the posture of a defeated soldier ready to accept any decision of his master. Death is just a few steps away!
The blood-soaked figure, making Roza doubtful, passed her by and stopped under the shower. As soon as he turned on the tap with his left hand wearing a black rubber glove, water started pouring down with a pitter-patter. His whole body got wet in an instant, blood washed away and flowed towards the drain. Leaning his hand against the wall, bowing his head slightly, he stood still.
For a couple of minutes, Roza stared at the scene like a hypnotized person. When the beast threw the metal knife on the tiles, a clanking sound woke Roza up. He took off the rubber glove from his right hand and started stroking his wet hair with his long fingers, and Roza started crawling towards the door on all fours. This is the chance! She has to escape, by any means!
Reaching the other side of the bathroom door, the horrible scene of the room came into Roza's view again. The client, who just a while ago was eager to devour her, was lying on the bed, his body mutilated. The corpse was not in a condition to look at. Ribs broken, chest open and hanging... heart? Intestines spilling out. Everything floating in a sea of blood. Any healthy normal person is bound to feel sick at the sight of it.
Suddenly Roza's eyes closed. She was unable to look. The sound of water was still coming from inside the bathroom. She had to leave this place very quickly. Crawling, she entered the room. On one side of the floor, she saw her dupatta lying. As she was about to stand up to collect it, she felt a sharp pull on her leg. Someone was holding her from behind! Turning back, Roza noticed her salwar was stuck to the sharp edge of the wall. Breathing a sigh of relief, she freed it and as soon as she turned back, the ferocious gaze of the demon standing leaning against the bathroom door froze her into a glacier.
Wet hair covering his forehead to his eyes, water droplets dripping from it. He didn't feel the need to remove the mask from his face. His whole body was dripping wet. Nothing was understandable except his well-built figure. Standing with both arms folded over his chest, staring at Roza with one gaze.
- Call-girl?
Roza couldn't remember ever hearing such a heavy voice before in her life. The voice was not serious, but lifeless and emotionless. The voice seemed to have a certain weight, hearing it made her heart feel pressured. Like the roar created by the friction of dense black clouds covering the sky before a storm.
Pausing her thoughts of escape, Roza silently nodded up and down in agreement. No word was possible to utter. Her gaze was falling once on her dupatta on the floor, and once on the person with an unearthly influence.
Taking out a silencer-fitted revolver tucked at his waist, he moved towards Roza. Roza was startled by it. Despite having a revolver, why did he use a knife? To show more cruelty? While engrossed in the thought of the strange matter, the long barrel of the revolver was aimed right at Roza's forehead. The safety lock was opened and a finger was placed on the trigger.
For the first time, failing to control all her emotions, Roza cried out loud. Her body trembled with sobs. In a feeble whisper, bowing her head, she said,
- For God's sake, don't kill me! I didn't do anything, I don't know anything! I will never open my mouth about today's incident!
The person came close when, Roza didn't even notice in her blurry vision. Her tears kept dripping onto the Chelsea boots of the ominous entity.
- I don't know you... please, let me go! I promise I'll keep my mouth shut. I only came to provide service and...
She couldn't utter. The man knelt down in front of Roza. As soon as she raised her face, their eyes met. That gaze seemed so unbearable and miserable that Roza was immediately forced to look away.
As soon as she felt the cold metallic touch on her forehead, Roza put both hands on the floor and started breathing heavily. She closed her eyes. Now there was definitely no escape. This is the end!
- Do... or Die?
Roza was startled. Unknowingly, her closed eyelids opened. She stared at the figure in front of her with one gaze. Doubt, disbelief and curiosity floating in Roza's eyes. Even without analyzing, she was able to understand that the person had given her two choices to choose from. Do... or die! But what does it mean? What is he asking her to do?
- W... what... do I have to do?
Without answering this question, he removed the revolver from Roza's forehead. Standing up, tucking it back at his waist, he moved forward. Roza just kept watching with a terrified gaze. Picking up the dupatta lying a little distance away on the floor and throwing it towards Roza, he muttered,
- Five lakhs should be enough, right?
While wrapping the dupatta around her body, Roza remained stunned. Then she looked at the mysterious brutal person with an unbelievable gaze. Did she hear correctly or was it all a fantasy created by her brain, in the language of science which is called - hallucination?
